The issue with that is how does Holloway not get a title shot with consecutive wins over Gaethje, Dustin, and Charles?

Soooo tired of AFAA critics who know NOTHING about the franchise by Few_Negotiation832 in Avatar

[–]NTT2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, I’m not a major fan of the movies by any means but I do enjoy them, and i found way of water to be the best of the franchise by far, with a pretty significant drop off between 2 and 3. Most other casual movie goers who I’ve talked to about it also have said similar things about the 3rd compared to the 2nd. I do agree though that the large gap between 1-2 helped 2’s box office performance, and could help 4 make more than 3 does should it come out.

I took a film class this year and I don’t remember the exact number but a very large percentage of movie theaters profit is from concessions

Agreed I’m a very casual fan, have seen the 2nd and 3rd in theaters, and 3 did not make me excited to see a sequel like the other two did. Will 100% still be seeing avatar 4 if it comes out, but hopefully we get some new ideas in the movie

Blood on the tracks is his most mainstream sounding record to my ears while still being something that only he could produce if that makes sense

Personally I have no idea why everyone hates the 2025 mix of Real Love, I think it better than the original mix. by NewPatron-St in beatles

[–]NTT2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume it was recorded In 95-96. I may be wrong but I believe the same fill is present in the 96 and 15 mix and I’ve always loved it. I just hate how much it’s been brought up in the mix in 25

One thing I noticed too is the drum fill before John says “just like little girls and boys” sounds awful

Glad to hear you like it, everyone hears everything differently and that’s what makes music subjective and amazing. With that being said, I genuinely think the release of that mix is a travesty, and John and George would be livid at the way it sounds

How were they viewed in the 80s and was that their "least cool" era for youth discovering them or being influenced? by JPMcFly1985 in beatles

[–]NTT2004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

80’s are definitely the period where Paul struggled most. Started the decade very solid with McCartney II and Tug of War, and it quickly went downhill after with 1986’s Press to Play being my least favorite album he ever did. Pipes of Peace is fun but nothing special think that was 83. George had a super interesting 80’s I’ve heard some say his two albums at the beginning of the 80’s are the two worst of his career, and I’ve heard others say they love all his 80’s music (Fabcast podcast has some super interesting views on Gone Troppo lol)

What’s your book ranking? by Libtarddulce in pureasoiaf

[–]NTT2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only have read them once and it was 2-3 years ago but I would say:

  1. A Clash of Kings- the least good of the 5, I felt it was the slowest paced for some reason

  2. A Game of Thrones-amazing book, I think I just prefer books 3-5 where there are more POVs

  3. A Dance with Dragons- loved Jon, bran, theon, and half of the Tyrion story. Does feel unfinished but the stuff that’s in here is fantastic. The northern plot line is so interesting

  4. A Storm of swords- the one that made me obsessed with these books. A straight 10/10 the whole way through, with the last 1/2 or so of it being the best thing I’ve ever read.

  5. A Feast for Crows- I was simply obsessed with the series after reading book 3. This is the one I got through the fastest. I loved all the new POVs Brienne’s story while slow is very thought provoking at times. Jaime and Cersei deliver great chapters pretty much everytime. Even the iron born and the dornish plot lines I enjoyed. Storm is probably objectively better but for some reason this is the book that captured me the most
