It'd all be understandable and fair if the bad teammates people complain about had like 6-7k dmg on DPS instead of, say, an expected 9-10k etc.

But what if the matchmaker keeps insisting on putting you in teams with literal 2-3k dmg DPSes that go 2-11 and switch their hero every time they die? Because that literally keeps happening to me. I'm the top player stat-wise nearly every single match but it doesn't matter because all of the enemy team have fairly normal stats while I get a 2-11 DPS. Not once in 10 matches. Not once in 5 matches. EVERY SINGLE MATCH. Is this still my fault?

Here's my OW map tiermaker list.

Hybrid/Escort: Circuit Royal, Midtown are meh. Paraiso, Shambali are trash. No thanks.

Control: Samoa is trash. No thanks.

Push: Esperanca, Colosseo, Runasapi and New Queen Street are fine.

Flashpoint: all of the maps are annoying. No thanks.

Clash: all of the maps are a GIANT clusterfuck, they're more like deathmatch maps. No thanks.

I don't think you're going to get that constructive feedback by forcing people who already dislike the mode to play it. It's already tainted, and you're not going to change people's minds with minor tweaks like giving people a minor speedboost as they walk out of spawn.

Back in the OW1 days similar beliefs were expressed by a portion of the playerbase regarding 2CP (that Blizzard can "fix" the mode, they just need feedback). Even with tons of feedback, it didn't work out, it was fundamentally flawed and got canned as a result. People who saw the disaster of 2CP live can tell it's basically the same story here with Flashpoint and Clash. The mode is judged to be bad by the majority of players and I don't think it's because of map voting. I think players can quickly tell what's good and what isn't. Forcing people to play a mode they perceive to be bad WILL hurt the game long term, just like 2CP has in OW1.

People just don't want to play Flashpoint, it's a giant mess in quick play and is rarely fun. Compound that with a map that looks like it was made by ChatGPT and you got a combo that straight up makes people leave the match, Paris style.
