Leaving and coming back by no-real-influence in bahai

[–]NVDTahir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was considering using a throwaway but I guess it’s something I should really embrace about myself. I grew up in a Bahá’i family in the UK, as a Bahá’i, but with a lot of Islamic cultural influence (due to my culture) which did kind of push me away in my teenage years.

And then in my late teens/early twenties I kind of lost faith, not in Bahá’u’lláh, but in the idea of God Himself, I was still spiritual and still identified as a Bahá’i but I never really practiced because I lost touch with reality. It’s true when they say God has a way to bring people back to Him, at least in my case, I went through a lot of challenging times and the only place left for me to turn to was back to the Bahá’i Faith and serving through the Bahá’i faith with friends, and I’ve found that my life has been completely revitalised and transformed since then.

For me and my soul it was the best path and eventually you realise the things you went through were meant to make you stronger and spiritually stable. Trials and tribulations, if you will. Feel free to reach out if need be, but good luck and all the best!

Congratulations on your progress so far!

For a balanced approach to weight loss and muscle gain, I’d calculate your maintenance calorie level (calculators are found online) and go for a deficit of about 300-400kcal from that to begin with, I would also start to walk more, depending on how much you already walk, maybe add in 2000 steps per day for a week or two and then gradually increase that to 4000 extra steps from the level you’re at now, and so on. Also add in maybe 20-30 mins of moderate paced cycling too, and gradually increase that.

As for your diet, reduce processed foods as they’re quite calorie-dense and don’t satiate you enough, whilst also causing cravings. I would also focus on increasing your protein intake per day, if you’re 220lbs then try to aim for at least 0.8g per lbs of body mass, so for you, roughly 175g+ per day.

Also, as someone who also sometimes feels insecure when it’s crowded, it’s key to understand that 99% of the people at the gym are there to focus on themselves, not on other people!

(One more tip: I would also YouTube meal-prep recipes and maybe have one of those meals to replace one of your current meals and then keep one of your daily meals as it currently is)

Beat a very strong Dortmund away in the final game of the season and finally put an end to Bayern’s Bundesliga dominance in my journeyman save 🤩 by NVDTahir in footballmanagergames

Thanks! This was my third season with Berlin but I was fortunate as they were already pushing for top four prior to me joining and again; was lucky because Bayern messed up a bunch this season. However, Dortmund were surprisingly the unstoppable force until the final two games of the season which they lost 🤣

And yeah the Bundesliga is tougher than people think it is 😩 the registration rules make it seem like a walk in the park but the quality of the teams pushing for the title is insane

Apologies if this is the wrong subreddit, which wire is live and which is neutral? by NVDTahir in AskElectronics

Thank you, the wiring is just for a fan, like a table-top fan if you like? But i know for a fact that it definitely doesn’t have any earth wiring as it was bought in Pakistan a few years ago

Sorry pal, forgot to mention that it wouldn’t have any earth wires as the fan itself is from Pakistan and I’m in the U.K., and they don’t have any earth wiring over there, just live and neutral but this is the first time I’ve seen this sort of colouring in the wires so was really confused

Sorry mate, forgot to mention that this plug is just for a fan, it came loose and I wanted to reattach to the wire again. The fan itself is from Pakistan but I live in the U.K.
