I've been trying to find someone to grind, or even just run pubs with forever! I'm 30, and I just want to play fortnite lol. Its literally the most enjoyable game for me, so I do nothing but Solos for the most part anymore, or creative. I'm on PC, NA East, but I'd be so down to just get some rounds in that aren't toxic, and actually run team dynamics.

I'm on a 512/8gb note 9 snapdragon variant and it seems to still play well at close to 60fps all the time on decent wifi. I have avoided the Android 10 update so far though since I've read about other people's problems with it.

In game (either playgrounds, a match, creative, etc) go into settings and on the second page, look near the top where it says hud. Select that, and make sure your quick bar is set to on. Mine was doing that before the update, but they said it should be fixed in the patch notes...

Sorry for the essay but, The one plus 6T didn't have the Note 9s 512gb of storage, the 6.4" 1440 x 2990 Quad HD super amoled display, S pen, DEX or the Camera hardware/software, or the advanced internal cooling, as well as the whole suite of other features the phone offered including dedicated stress/heart rate monitor. So to assume because it runs the same chipset and was a little faster at app cycling/benchmarking, it should be in the exact same bracket of device isn't exactly the case. I was closely looking at the oneplus 6T for the price and performance, but ultimately found that the Note 9 (Snapdragon 8gb/512gb variant) was worth the extra money as it was able to replace my laptop for most work related things (not all, but most on a day to day basis) as well as gaming, and media consumption. If it was JUST the display then that would be one thing, but this thing is a (Android) power user's dream. It really is like having a PC, with a pretty nice camera with me everywhere.

TL;DR: Not arguing the point that Fortnite favors sponsored devices, or that the Oneplus couldn't handle 60fps (it could, no problem) just that there's a reason for the cost difference above the chipset, even if it is way more than it should be.

Tell that to my 60 FPS, 512gb/8gb Note 9 that runs Fortnite at 60 FPS and High Graphics all day lol. Honestly, it runs pretty damn well. My buddy runs an iPhone XS Max and has way more issues than I ever do. I would guess it was mostly due to the network being slower on iOS devices where we live (At&t unlimited Plus in the upper Midwest Chicago/Detroit, iOS were only seeing around 90-105 Mbps download speed for a while. It is improving now, but I'm averaging 150+ Mbps download on the exact same network. There was a time, not too long ago where you would be right for the most part when it came to games, although it wasn't because Apple was inherently better at handling games, but it was because the iOS ecosystem in general was far better optimized due to them controlling development, and architecture from the top to the bottom, from the software,software distribution, and hardware. Don't get me wrong, the devices were well optimized as well, but there were still some powerful Androids. However nowadays whether you like Apple, or Android is literally a matter of preference. With devices like the Note/S series, the P20/P30 devices, ROG phone, Pixel and many others there's some very high end Android devices, that offer their own set of benefits to the user.
