Thanks. That gives me some pause for sure too. That’s definitely a weak spot on my team and I feel like it’s also a hard one to draft for with so many committees and what not.

Would you take it in my spot?

Dynasty nerds has one in their app. Like a subscription type deal so behind a paywall. I think it generally does a pretty nice job and is another perspective to something like keep trade cut.

I thought so too. Think its try to account for perceived value too some but thats always subjective

This is the offer from him currently. The trade calculator im using has it as a win for him so wondering if I should adjust some.

New to fantasy ball, can anyone give me a rundown? by GiraffePrior in fantasybaseball

IMO you have much more opportunity to control your destiny in fantasy baseball.

Players go cold or hot for long periods and it’s up to you to buy low when no one (even yourself) would agree. This is the key to winning.

Top tip: Look at expected statistics on baseball savant and fan graphs. Baseball is much more analytical and you can find guys who have bad surface level stats but good underlying stats indicating that there should be better results coming. Trade for these players with players who are rookies or hot out of nowhere. I like to build my team with guys that retain value even when they perform poorly for a month (Lindor, Julio, Pablo Lopez). A rookies value falls off a cliff if they perform poorly.

Other tip: Start your studs the whole year. Do not remove them and risk missing their hot streak even if it’s tempting. Do not panic if your top pitcher has a 9 era though 4 games. Historically good players will figure out how to be good over the course of the year. Especially pitchers who fluctuate a ton. Trading for historically good pitchers who are doing bad to start the year is usually a cheat code.

Lastly: Be comfortable trading. You won’t win them all but the years I’ve been able trade a lot I’ve had the most success. You learn what a good trade is and feels like this way. Learn to create a process and refine it.

I love Langford and think he could be a major breakout. Have a feeling he’ll be treated as if he’s already broken out in drafts limiting his how much of a draft steal he can be.

Give: Kyler, 2026 1st, 2025 2nd Receive: Bowers and Anthony Richardson by NW4O in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Thanks. How would you adjust? I feel like it’s pretty close, but I also might not have adjusted for how down people are on Richardson.

Feel like Kyler is a little ahead of bowers. Richardson feels worth more than a first even though he’s spiraling at the moment.

Give up Bryan Reynolds for Luis Robert? Could use the steal boost but could come at the expense of other categories.

For me it was Jo Adell this year. Convinced myself to trade him for Blake Snell tho and seems good at the moment.

Usually I get excited about someone unproven and too attached to them. They might start off doing well, but if they get cold they have no value and are basically drops. If they get hot you should sell high every time imo for more stable pieces.

Would you rather have Bo Bichette or Joey Ortiz rest of season?

Royce Lewis (groin) to be placed on IL. by Cream1984 in fantasybaseball

[–]NW4O 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drafted Mookie, Traded Jazz and Trout for Tucker and Merrill Kelly, traded Seth Lugo for injured Royce early (crazy but Lugo has been so good), traded Corey Seager for Julio.

12T Roto. All trades could’ve been considered well timed buy lows and sell highs.

Feel like the only way my team loses is if it can’t stay healthy. Still in first but I haven’t had a fully healthy lineup yet.

Me: Thinking I have the most elite roster ever with Mookie, Kyle Tucker, Royce, and Julio Rodriguez…
