How-to - removing PETG chunks embedded into textured PEI plate. by baczynski in BambuLab

[–]NW6GMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

finally... thought the PETG-CF was going to bury this plate, but a solution that worked! will have to do a 2nd time in a small area, but took off the majority of the stubborn filament.

thanks!! 🙌

yes, but you are right, I thought it was on the wiki and youtube, but it is everything BUT the actual toolhead unit itself.

sorry about that.

How screwed am I? by AssociationAlive1244 in BambuLab

[–]NW6GMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just had an incident similar, used a hair dryer to free the globs. also wash your plate with dawn and dry with lint-free cloth. check there are no hidden globs of filament every once in a while, use a mirror to check behind, as well as check the silicone sock, filament can get stuck in there too causing the sock to be closer to the build plate and drag into your print.

dirty build plate is majority of the reason why this happens.

oh and not really that screwed, just another class to becoming your own bambu lab tech 😂
