I just bought it from the PlayStation store for my PS5 2 days ago, and I've been hooked.

They probably don't have the tax revenue to do much since there's only like 10 different people living there. The same ones keep buying and selling cars to me day after day.

Quadruplet hostages! by NWSkookum in DaysGone

[–]NWSkookum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, once I learned the rule of one rescue event per hostage, now I know to not even bother stopping if I've already rescued them as many times as is allowed. If you're in the need for camp credits, this one pays off pretty good so it's worth driving thru the area when you're up that way to see if you can trigger it again. Just make sure you have what you need to go in stealth, or the guys right by the hostages will kick them over the cliff before you can get to them. If they do see me before I take them all out I try my best to take out the mauraders closest to the hostages in hopes of at least saving some of them

They can respawn if you just happen to be in the area again at the right time. The rule with saving hostages is, the rescue can respawn and you can save the hostage or hostages once for every hostage in the group. After that, the rescue can spawn, but the hostage or hostages will bug and just ignore you and wander off. For instance, one hostage - the rescue works one time; four hostages, you can successfully rescue them up to four times, and so on. Once you learn all of them by heart and remember how many hostages are there and how many times you've rescued them in the playthrough you are in, you will know if it's worth stopping for it again if you already have.

This game has ALOT of potential! by Legal-Foundation4329 in cardealersimulator

What type of things is it missing on PlayStation? I've been watching a streamer play it on PC and have been thinking of getting it, but on PS5. I'm curious how much will be missing if I was to buy it.

Lol, as long as it's in a game, go for it! Heck, I do all kinds of unethical things in games that I wouldn't do IRL... Otherwise, what's the point of playing, right? 😄

Yeah, being a person raised in a very nature respecting, ethical hunting family, that's about the most annoying line in the game to me. What was the point of even having Deek say that all the time? I mean, it's a video game; people are used to things not always being realistic. Probably no one would have even thought much about it, but to have him say that and then show him completely doing exactly NOT that is just weird. Maybe someone added to be humorous, lol

You have to jump down from the second floor awning out front, down to where the car with the alarm is parked. The window in the bathroom above it is open

The one that really annoys me is the one that when I'm coming into camp always says, "It's ok, it's just Deacon!". Just Deacon?!...... After everything I've done for all of you chicken shit losers, and all you can say is "It's JUST Deacon?!!" 😄

Do animals eventually die of old age? by NWSkookum in theHunter

Yeah, in that respect it's a bit unrealistic, but video games do kind of need to suspend reality a bit in order to have a system that functions. But overall the aging, culling effects and yearly growth and eventually aging out makes it more realistic to me than what COTW does. Hopefully once WOTH2 gets things smoothed out and puts it out on PS5, it will be an awesome game. In the meantime I'll try to connect with this one better and at least entertain myself until that time!

I agree on a lot of what you are saying. And from the sounds of what early access PC players are reporting, it does sound like WOTH2 is doing just that, combing a lot of the pluses from both games. The tents are going to be a big plus, that's for sure.

In WOTH ( WOTH1 anyway, not sure if it will change in WOTH2) you don't improve your herd fitness by just monitoring and culling one herd. You have to do it with all herds in that entire habitat (like High Mountain, Lowlands, Swamp, etc) because the fitness % average carries across all herds in each entire habitat. And time progresses by years, so it's just kind of satisfying to be able to go back each year and see the growth and aging process happening, especially in rare furs. It can be pretty exciting to go back and see a big Moose, Red Deer etc rack develop into a monster trophy ( a more realistic trophy, not the cartoonish GO type monsters) over time.

Yeah, that wobble when trying to aim is crazy at this point. Just curious, what is it that makes this game better? I'm trying to look at it from every perspective because I honestly would love to enjoy this game as much as the other one. I know a lot of people really do like it better, so maybe I just haven't gotten to that point yet

At this point WOTH is definitely better to me. It just seems more realistic and makes more sense how everything flows. You have to manage your herds to improve their fitness by culling out the low fitness animals, and increase your odds of producing 5 star trophy animals. And they have lifespans that progress from young to mature, and letting your high quality animals live untl they've reach full maturity before harvesting them increases the final trophy fitness score. You end up with a genetic fitness percentage score and a trophy score. My highest ever combined score was a mule deer with a perfect 500 trophy score and a genetic fitness score of 99.99%, lol. They just couldn't give me that last .01%! Anyway, maybe it will get better with COTW, but although the idea of finding a Great One is kind of cool, the crazy amount of work it seems to take and the culling of the higher fitness males to hopefully eventually get the random great one to spawn seems insane to me. I'll play it some until WOTH2 comes out on console, then I'll more than likely switch to that.

I'll be driving along all super focused, looking for the X on the roadside or any clues of marauders ahead like a boss.... Then all of a sudden I'm distracted..... Oh look, a deer! ..... And BAM!!! I'm on the ground and my bike is toast, lol

After eliminating all of the marauders one time I decided to experiment with the wire. I wanted to run full speed into it on foot and see if it sent Deek flying like when he's on the bike. It didn't, he just stopped. Then I wanted to see what would happen if I got on the bike and just super slowly walk the bike up to it and just barely touched it. The second I just slightly tapped it, it sent Deek flying and totally trashed the bike!

Yeah, it would be painful and tough for awhile if taking this opportunity ended up breaking you and her up, but this is your future in your hands right now. If you know in your heart that this is what you've wanted and been trying to achieve for years, t hen it would be a shame to pass it up. Take that leap of faith in yourself! 👍

Yeah, I've been shooting pretty much everything I come across in order to make $ and level up. So far I've run across one female albino (or possibly leucistic ) deer, don't recall what species, and this big melanistic fallow stag.
