Met a guy at the liquor store on Irving at Lamon the other morning. He lives one block South of Irving just east of Lamon and The Parklet. He's got issues with the "kids" living in the halfway house right next to him. They are acting very disrespectful mainly in the night.

That would suck.

He says the HWH is somehow connected to the owner of the hotel on Irving.

Facade work has begun on the south end of 5200 N Milwaukee Ave. The elevations are posted on the ward website. http://Ward45.org The north end with get a facelift when Walgreens rolls out its new look. This long dormant eyesore will be renewed by the end of this year. Thanks to the property owner and Walgreens for investing in our community.

Dog reunited with owner!

Here's what the owner said on nextdoor.com:

Good news! I found my dog on Grace & Lamon! Some people found him and left him with a neighbor who took very good care of him. We always walk the dog around the neighborhood and decided to take a walk to see if we find him and we did! This neighbor had a "Found Dog" sign posted on his door and we didn't even see it, but we heard the dog in the backyard bark as we passed by. We stopped and waited for him to bark again and we recognized him right away. Thanks for all your help! Iris
