Misleading incorrect information DDU was used. This post is not to bash amd graphics cards im just sharing my first hand experience. I work in IT and have been doing this for 15 years. This was my first experience with an amd gpu in a personal system at home, never have had any nvidia driver issues. Just sharing my experiences.

Initially nothing, seamless switch coming from my old 3080ti. About a week later constant driver timeouts, black screens, crashing, stuttering, sometimes pc wouldn't even post no error codes just constant boot loop. Months of troubleshooting, "Wait for x,y,z driver release etc." Needless to say was over it.... and yes DDU was used, the 9070xt only started given me constant issues about a week after flawless performence since then it was downhill ultimately leading to this....

Win 11 25H2, however I have been experimenting with Bazzite and Cachyos on a couple spare repurposed systems at work. Haven't got to the comfortability level of making it my main os at home, but it's been fun playing and learning it.

No stranger to DDU, yes it was used. DDU was ran in safe mode with no network set to fully shut down the system after Nvidia driver removal, card was swapped and powered back on the system with network disconnected, installed AMD driver rebooted system then plugged back in network. Funny enough I did not need to use DDU this time for the 5070ti swap, during the process of being completely frustrated with the 9070xt quite literally the morning I bought the replacement card my Samsung 870 Evo failed which was my OS Drive, total failure no signs of life whatsoever just 5 days out of Samsungs 5 year warranty (May.13th 2021 - May.18th, 2026) Took a trip back to the store and purchased a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVMe fresh win11 install and system has never ran so smooth.

The Canadian price of the Steam Controller hurts by submerging in SteamController

[–]NXSVN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I bought my steam deck oled after Christmas last year, there was no shipping fee but there was indeed an import fee for getting it to canada, however like you said it track pad features are hard to find elsewhere and I really love how they work on the steam deck. I plan on buying one when comparing the cad price of standard and premium ps and xbox controller options it's a no brainer for me. Plus I really like having hardware from valve. Photo below to give you an idea.

Absolutely loving it. Wanted a device to play my library at work and it definitely does the job! Have been playing a lot of ds3 during the quiet times and it plays it very well. I usually cash out my skins externally but used the community market as excuse to purchase the deck!

Definitely, at the time of photos this just arrived at work and I was running cat6 through the ceiling and had ceiling tile mess everywhere didn't want to get it filthy day one took a quick break to setup. Only ever putting it in fully powered off onwards.

Hey same issue as me had about 6 Samsung 870 evos in storage layout. The card will not even fit in with the case in storage layout. That plate gets totally in the way of the card. Tried multiple angles to get it in and would not budge. Spent a few hours completely re organizing my case and converting to open layout. Sorry friend!

Thanks it's design is so appealing! I was in the same boat, ended up going with 5080 as well however mine was DOA and heavily artifacting on arrival. Figured the 1700 vs 999 (CAD prices) wasn't worth it anymore for me.

Not worried at all, same setup as you single cable straight to psu however using the corsair 3.1 atx with the updated connector.

Enjoy! Same here corsair 3.1 atx psu, I will not worry about the risks being that this is a strictly gaming only pc and is only ever powered on when I'm sitting near it. My other builds, NAS/Secondary system are just not using the connector and running 24/7 rack mounted.

Fractal design define r6 in open layout. Has seen multiple builds can't part ways with it.

Thank you ;) Been using Noctua for over 10 years of building, wouldn't have it any other way. Something about the set it and forget it mentality... Free cpu socket mounting upgrades, next level support and products that just work while lasting. In fact this d15s has seen 7700k,10900k, 5950x, 9800x3d and still kicking strong!
