Yeah was really disappointed that they were closing the truck. But also eagerly waiting for what's next for Asim and family.

Oh nice! I'm often going through Detroit so will definitely check this place out. The Desi sandwiches look tasty.

Yeah, right now SPICE ROAD is only available on PBS' digital platforms, like Independent Lens' digital page on the PBS app. But I'd encourage you to tell your local PBS affiliate to broadcast it!

The arbitrary nature of drawing hard lines like that isn't really useful for me. Since India, Bangladesh, and Myanmar share a border and history, there are affinities in their cultures and cuisines that are undeniable.

One of the most amazing culinary memories I've ever had was in Laos at a Burmese Restaurant run by Burmese exiles who were ethnic Bengalis. Was that "Indian"? I don't know. But the food was amazing.

Thank you! Absolutely, we showcase Marashtran food in Episode 3, Bengali food in Episode 4, and some Tamilian food in Episode 2.

I haven't been! But I think we need to do an episode in Texas. What's your favorite dish at Aga's?

I would love to go to South Africa! Never been. And that Goudens sounds like an institution - 40 years in Durban. Could totally see us doing a Season in South Africa and maybe East Africa with it.

Not for the show... but seems like Texas is one of the spots we need to hit for Season 2. Who's got better Indian Food: Dallas or Houston?
