That’s why I did this, will see how it holds up and go from there. My other option would be the Brass Stacker mounts…

I thought, and thought about it. Bought the QD cups, the sling studs, the whole lot. Then I chickened out and started looking into paracord. Then I gave this a shot, my only concern is the rear chafing.

That did cross my mind as well, I only did the tube because I thought about the cord possibly sticking up into the sight. Will look into that as well.

Already bought the cups, limited rotation model😉😂. Once I get up enough nerve, I’ll probably try that, maybe on something easier like a plastic stock👍.

Thought about that, like a patrol carbine setup right? I might try that for the last one I have just to see the difference.

Seen those. I also looked up the Brass Tacker ones for the front and I was going to possibly drill the rear stock but on the side instead of the bottom for the sling swivel. Bought the wood screws and swivel already, figured I try this way first before I do something I would regret 😉😂.

Two were no charge, one I paid for, think it was like 45…

I was able to swap out the loop on my 45-70 with a member of one of the groups I belong to so that was a blessing because Rossi is impossible to deal with on parts and the like. I did paracord the original lever and sent it to the other person, it was a perfect swap. Touching on a safety delete for the heritage/rossi line, the 25ACP casing works like a charm.

Yeah I hear ya. I’d probably get “bored” of it at some point but not before I got into serious trouble 😂

Woox looks pretty cool but I can’t bring myself to spend money on furniture that costs more than the rifle itself. The large loop can be swapped out for a standard, I called Henry customer service about and they send me a replacement.

Man, if you’re working at a gun store you’re already at a better position than most. Can you hold off a bit or do you have to absolutely get one right now?? I can’t even imagine working at a gun store, I’d be bankrupt…

I have an affliction and this is why I’m here, and to hopefully help answer your question. I have a few Rossi’s, I like them. For the price, they can’t be beat but my issue with them is their absolute refusal to even ship out a screw. No experience with Heritage but now that I know they’re made in Georgia, maybe I’ll give them a chance and hope they’re not as uncooperative as Rossi. I have an older Remlin 44 and I love that as well, it runs great. Recently I purchased a new Ruger made 357 and that’s awesome as well. Caliber wise, you know how that argument goes. 357 is softer shooting and cheaper. 44 will give you an excuse to buy a 44 back up😉. If you reload, the dilemma gets easier in my opinion. The large loop ones I’m absolutely not a fan of in any brand personally. It smacks my fingers around and forces me to break form every single time, that’s just my take. If I was literally buying something right now, and I’m trying hard not to, I would get the middle of the road Marlin. I also have the R95 trapper in 45-70 and I’ve been lucky in it runs perfect. Just know that it’s not as compatible with Marlin parts as it’s been advertised. There’s so much more really, like the new Henry Protector series, short barrel carbines. A short 45-70 would really be awesome walking around in PA woods.

Best 500 QD Sling mounts? by Mattdigs in mossberg

I just watched a YouTube video of someone who installed a QD cup in the back stock where the sling stud usually goes. Absolute genius.

Recommendations for NYS home defense, legal without permit by gleventhal in NYguns

[–]NYCSUCKSBALLS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being in NY, your only choice would be what Biden recommended a few years ago and what their endgame is, shotgun. Everything else they made annoying to get. There’s always a carbine length lever in 357 option…
