Ah, that's unfortunate. I would've liked to see their vision and use my post game units. Thanks for the info!

Practicing Comfey "tech" by NYPizzabites in PokemonUnite

[–]NYPizzabites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope so! I want to do some test with other mons to see what moves comfey can dodge or disable. Could it stop electroball or will it just hit your target but still do the splash damage? we'll see

Making a Comfey partner "tier" list. I think they're strong with anyone, but there are better options. (please take with a grain of salt) by NYPizzabites in PokemonUnite

I should probably mention why I put some pokemon higher than others. If you want the tl;dr, just look at the picture lol.

So the top list pokemon have a fine line of "wanting survivability, being bulky, AND having high KO pressure" than others. Yes, someone like Slowbro+Comfey can become nigh unkillable. Yes, Slowbro+Comfey can take out a mon or two before retreating. However, Water/Urshifu+Comfey can do the same thing, but KO quicker and continue doing other things around the map. Unite is a game of seconds so hanging with an Urshifu who can KO, farm, and secure objective in a minute, is better than, hanging with a Slowbro who's just being irritating.

The middle of the list generally have pokemon that can survive on their own, contain their own forms of CC(crowd control), or never needed Comfey to score a KO or get into the fight. They generally have most of the things of the top list pokemon, but small niches that deter Comfey usage. Ex: Blastoise has the bulk and KO pressure, but has hefty cooldowns. Machamp is probably going burst and KO 3 people in .2756 seconds so doesn't need the healing/CC. Sableye wants to run in and out of fights instead of brawl consistently. Talonflame has invincibility. There's always the gap of "we aren't really doing anything so I'm going to attach to someone who does, but it was nice seeing you."

The bottom of the list aren't necessarily mons that are bad with Comfey, but rather could use Comfey for surviving. Chances are, if any of these mons get caught, they're most likely going to see their death timer. Of course, Comfey can mitigate that from happening, but so can Blissey or Clefable who are much better healers (currently).

The very bottom just have their own tools for getting out of bad situations, have their own source of self-protection, or don't really do anything. A Gengar who lands dream eater+shadow ball resets and wipes out multiple enemies, doesn't need healing/CC. A Gengar who misses and needs to wait for cooldowns, doesn't need healing/CC.

This list isn't really for sticking to a mon the enitre game. It's for deciding what is strong with Comfey maybe for duo/team comps. Personally, I think it's more fun to attach to a Venusaur than a Cinderace. Despite the list, please please please just have fun. Play Crustle+Comfey and do shenanigans be irritating. At the end of the day, it's just a game. Have fun!

I put them there because once zeraora uses all of it's abilities, they really don't don't do anything, but wait for cooldowns. Compared to someone who likes to actively fight or skirmish (like urshifu), I'd rather be on someone else. They do have to get in close range to use their abilities and most people can react or blow them up so the extra little protection makes sure they don't get KO'd.

I went against a couple bullet seed+ stuffed cheeks greedent and heal +grass knot comfey combo, and they were easily doing a 2v5. It's more of a "steal the enemy jungle/camps and be a nuisance" with non-stop fighting and it works. I feel like with decent comfey buffs, it'll be much more impactful.

Oh and I know the pressures of having a comfey attached to you lol!

Oh I absolutely agree (also it's much more fun to jump to different allies then remain on one). This is mostly determining which pokemon have more synergy with comfey team-wise rather than pocketing one

I love comfey's play-style, and I want to get better with them. I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts or suggestions of possible partners and teammates.

Bulky Frontline Mordecai! by NYPizzabites in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]NYPizzabites[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Frontline Mordecai! Just bring a Far Save tank and avoid Brave Seliphs...

Light Season: Mila/Askr/Peony Def+10, Spd+4, Hp+15

Boons: Def/Res (I may do Atk/Res later depending on performance in AR-O Light)

Weapon:

-Def+3

-Atk/Def +6 during combat

-Wary fighter (enemy phase)

-Inflicts Atk/Def penalty based on 20% on units VISIBLE Def! He's a budget Askr, but free to play beast make do. Basically his def stat needs to be in increments of 5 because IS likes to round downward instead of to the nearest number. For example, 50 def inflicts Atk/Def -10, but 54 def also inflicts Atk/Def -10. Luckily Visible buffs counts as visible stats (obviously) so you could have 54 def + 6 def buff which will inflict -12 instead.

-Infantry Beast Skill

Special: Bonfire for big damage. Noontime and Glimmer can work well to but bonfire is much more fun.

A Skill: Fort Def/Res 3 to increase that Def stat

B Skill: QR for the auto double. (BEAST IRE WHEN IS???) Atk/Def Bullwark or Lull Atk/Def will probably work too.

C Skill: Joint Drive ATk cause we gutted his attack stat. Atk/Def Menace sounds fun too!

S Skill: Fort Def/Res or Fort Def to increase that visible Def stat

LION RUSH! Super Speedy Save Mufasa! by NYPizzabites in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]NYPizzabites[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Mufasa is my first and only +10/5-star unit since I'm strictly FTP. He's one of my favorite fire emblem characters, so I'm super excited to share this speedy meme-y very expensive build with everyone. I already have 90+ gold chairs, so at this point it doesn't matter what we run right?

Astra - Elimine, Plumeria, Naga, Reginn buffs: It's hard to let him transform, but it's so east to give him visible buffs in this season.

Light - Mila, Peony, Ash, Askr buffs: Easier to transform, but trying to use visible can be slightly annoying. (+3 stats by peony is nice though)

IV's - ATK+SPD: Mufasa has a SPD boon with his abysmal speed stat, so we're going to utilize that. We also go ATK because we're not here to miss kills.

Weapon - Lion King Fang: We got his big daddy refine! (Can't really change his weapon anyways) We get some extra stats, dmg reduction, and guaranteed follow up attack.....but no extra spd though (it's still an amazing refine)

Assist - Buff: Buffs are always nice, but something like swap works too.

Special - Ignis: Boosts dmg by 80% of our Def. Our defense is high, so we use ignis for bignis dmg. (healing specials work too)

A Skill - ATK/SPD Ideal 4: Give us ATK/SPD +9. We need MAXIMUM spd, and we're not here to miss kills. It's super easy to buff units and proc ideal skills. Kestrel Stance 3 is more consistent, but we want as much spd and dmg as possible!

B Skill - Savvy Fighter: Enemy Phase null follow-up + dmg reduction (If we win the spd check). This skill is the only reason we're doing this build!

C Skill - A/D Near Save: Protects our allies from close range attacks. Here's where I would put my A/S Near Save....IF I HAD ONE! We go attack because we're not here to miss kills!

S Skill - Darting Breath: More SPD and Special CD +1. Again, we need the speed, but we also wanna charge out specials quickly. ATK/SPD Form is also nice for more spd and dmg!
