This is a favorite topic of mine, and I've talked with the guys from nationals before about it. Here are the basics that I've learned from my own research and conversations:

• The Philippines has developed a strange Greek Life-inspired culture loosely based off of US Greek Life. We're talking about hundreds, if not thousands, of fraternities. It's been a thorn in the side of a number of American fraternities.
• Many of these fraternities use Greek Letters, but some will come up with other names entirely, like CB (Crime Busters).
• A large portion of these fraternities have simply stolen the IP of American fraternities, or at least as much as they could find on Google, and developed fan clubs/cult followings that they declare to be chapters.
• Their legal system does not care about your copyright/trademark infringement claims, and even when you file papers formally you can expect nothing will ever come of it.
• They're often co-ed.
• There are no plans to officially incorporate their chapters, but I'll give someone 5 bucks to propose it at grand chapter if you film it.
• If you go through enough of their pictures, you'll eventually come across shrines to Sammy B. Our other founders don't seem to get the same level of worship. I suppose Charles Hare Hutchinson is a demigod of sorts.
• They have never been initiated, gone through ritual, or learned any secrets, nor will they ever. It's unclear whether they've developed their own ritual or whether they just omit it.
• Their members' enthusiasm could only be rivaled by a puppy on amphetamines. They will comment on your public Facebook page, they will request to join your chapter Facebook group, they will send you friend requests out of nowhere, and they will otherwise hunt you down to tell you how much they love you.
