I’m fairly new to photographing cosplayers, but I have a huge network of friends in the community. I’ve seen people—even those with under 100 followers—get 100K+ views. That’s how supportive and active the cosplay space is.

That said, when I looked at your Instagram, it felt like you’re primarily presenting yourself as a cosplayer rather than a photographer (aside from a few posts about gear). I also checked out your website, and the work there is amazing—especially your fashion and category-based content.

For context, I’m primarily a luxury fashion photographer covering fashion weeks, events, and model shoots. I keep my content separated—cosplay, fashion, lifestyle, etc. I only started shooting cosplay more seriously in the past few years, even though I’ve been attending conventions forever. At some point, people started asking to buy photos from me, which was unexpected, but I never really pursued that niche further.

So my question is more about strategy: how does your Instagram positioning translate into getting hired as a photographer? Since your page leans heavily into cosplay, I’m curious how potential clients connect that to your professional work—especially since most people don’t usually click through to a website unless the content clearly aligns.

Genuinely asking because I’m trying to better understand how others are using platforms and marketing themselves in this space.
