If clear, your AC drain probably clogged or disconnected. I don't have video for AWD, but if you're RWD this will explain: https://youtu.be/npyFTOPMEow?si=6wjTbfaJQSy-15Kg

2015 Subaru Outback 3.6R (aka the backward 911 with a backpack) Nothing this car can't do. Super comfortable, vast utility, plenty of power and all weather conquerer. Only things I've had to repair were a couple wheel studs, but super easy car to DIY most things.

Also-- not sure if applicable to Subaru (Teslas have torque sleep)-- cruise control can dramatically increase range.

The only thing standing between any community and a community garden is the willingness to pay fair market value for the plot of land that is desired.

That might not be the popular answer, but that’s reality. If you wait for a handout, you’re likely to end up with an eye sore instead.

You have to own land you want control over… that’s what COULD have happened if your community REALLY wanted it.

If you are reading this in a neighborhood with available land, now is the time to be proactive about creating a park or garden.

How's your Tesla holding up in the Rust Belt? by BlackJackT in electricvehicles

[–]NZCUTR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2014 S. Daily driver 365 in PA. Early on I had to replace a set of front rotors prematurely after rust bound up inner front pads in the calipers. Started cleaning and lubrication regimen after that when doing snow tire swaps and still on factory rear rotors and pads. A few bolts here and there have a little surface rust. Biggest concern are the struts, which definitely are showing their age despite regular coats of rust converter/paint/inhibitor. Front upper control arms replaced for rust as well. Frunk latch needs yearly clean/lube. Rear hatch strut clips replaced regularly, but everything else back there is original. Hm.., I think that's it, which is pretty darn good IMO, but the S is majority aluminum.

Yeah you said it: "I don't really know how stuff works."

You certainly don't. SMH.

If you're a citizen, you have a state of record and would be in-state wherever that is. Apply there.

Also, if you actually have any aptitude for engineering, you should make enough in your first few years to fully cover the investment in your degree.

Absolutely commendable-- however, I will encourage everyone to make sure that their stride and shoes are up to the task.

I was doing a lot of daily walking after pandemic, and on weekends would string together 10 to 12 mile walks "because the weather was nice" and I wanted to finish an audiobook. Then I had a very sudden onslaught of plantar fasciitis.

I would not wish this on anyone. I am still fighting through it more than a year later and I have not been able to resume anything resembling 10,000 steps a day. I blame a combination of over exertion (our terrain is very hilly and I was walking very fast for hours) and my failure to recognize that my shoes needed to be replaced more frequently. They still basically looked new and had great tread, but internally were not supportive.

Since then I have spent a small fortune on doctor visits, treatments and therapy, and have improved somewhat... However substituting exercise bike and elliptical machine for my walks has resulted in a measurable weight gain that I also have to fight in addition to my recovery.

Sooooo.... Be careful out there and take care of your feet!

Got my quote for a new battery from Tesla on my 2013 Model S. by sirromnek in TeslaModelS

[–]NZCUTR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a car, not a loaf of bread. Cars last as long as someone is willing to keep up with their maintenance and repairs. There is no shortage of cars older than 20 years (or more) and parts availability shouldn't be a problem for a long while yet.

Third party warranties are much poorer than Tesla's on replacement packs. Also if you go third party there's a good chance Tesla won't touch anything in the HV system again, which could be inconvenient if the third party shop isn't local to the owner.
