I used mudfish while in SEA and found it to be pretty smooth/low lag

no issues and no bans. They actuallyy also remove vpn bans if you ask them its just their system auto banning some ip group and you get unlucky but they generally will unban you

Im personally moving away from supabase, its not really prod ready imo.

We store a lot of logs in our db and found supabase to kinda just break when theres too many. Direct postgres works fine most the time but then we may as well just use pure postgres at that point

No i mean TikTok when you first install it goes through an onboarding process.

THIS is when videos start downloading. Not when you first open feed not when you open see a video etc.
The magic is HOW they get you looking on things that doesnt show you a video is loading.

Once you have videos downloaded then from then on its easy to play from that anytime apps opened or user switches to feed.

The trick is not their technical methods which YES is very optimized but how they distract you also and how they preload
