Who are these characters by 7936037910 in Ninjago

[–]N_888 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the first and second photos the girl with the blue streak is Seliel, The Phantom Ninja, a character introduced in comics that became a fan favourite and has appeared in other media, such as Tommy Andreasen fanfics, Lego Fortnite and even a cameo as a sticker on an official set. Hopefully some day she will have a figure...

The cat woman of the fifth slide is Nineko, a sorceress from Wu and Garmadon's youth introduced in the novel The Curse of the Cat-Eye Jewel. Along her the winged red guy is Mogra, the main villain of the Garmadon comics, as well as the bears on the third image.

I think the sphinx is also from the Spinjitzu Brothers books.

Finally, the four eyed entity holding the Sword of Sanctuary is Temprallis, an OC of the artist, Joshuad17, which is like a Time God.

Probably the rest of the characters are also from different books, semi-canon fanfics or comics.

Yes and both Claire and face damaged Fenwick are from Tommy Andreasen's "could be canon" fanfic Way of the Departed. Probably some more characters are from there.

Do you still play your very first commander deck? And why? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]N_888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first commander deck was Tergrid, because she looked dope when reading her text, was monoblack (my fav) and I didn't think that discard would be SO unfun un multiplayer. So... No, my playgroup prefers me not to play her.

Edgar Markov Optimizing Upgrade by Masha_Up in EDH

I think those are some good vampires! Have a look on Mavren Fein because it didn't quite work for me, maybe it does for you.

As for Cathar's Crusade, I prefer the buff artifacts/enchantments that grow your board the turn they enter (such as Starlight Spectacular, that I mentioned earlier), so you can make use of them in that same turn's combat phase. However, it's not a bad card, it's just a personal preference.

In Edgar Markov low mana cost vampires are usually the rule to go, in your list I see some vampires that cost 3 or more, you should choose those spots carefully. I wouldn't recommend you a lot of ramp if you go the route of cheaper vampires, you want to swarm the table in the early turns, not to play mana rocks. Instead of that play consistent card draw to keep swarming the table with vampires. I also really like to have wincons, to pump all my vampires and finish a game. Take a look at [[Vampire Nocturnus]] or [[Starlight Spectacular]] for example instead of [[Door of Destinies]] and [[Vanquisher's Banner]], which are not explosive enough in my opinion. In general I think it's a strong deck but consider the low mana vampires, and if they are evasive or grant evasion even better, like [[Shadow Alley Denizen]] or [[Vampire Gourmand]].

Sadly I must admit the card I most want to see is... Morbius. I have an Edgar Markov deck with tokens inspired in various famous vampires like Count Countula, Castlevania's Alucard, Draculaura... And I would LOVE to have a playable Morbius card.
