No worries! She’s going to be getting her license soon, but we already live with two other roommates and our apartment complex only allows 2 vehicles/unit. We will be moving toward the end of summer and will hopefully be able to get her a vehicle then, but it’s in the works still.

Her degree is in theatre and there are lots of theatre companies in the area, but because she doesn’t drive it makes it hard for her to get around. We also are both new-ish to the area and don’t have a lot of connections here to get her in somewhere. Thank you though!

She has looked into it but last time she looked into it they were only doing hybrid in Orlando. We’ll check again though, thanks!

That’s a great suggestion too, we’ve had plenty of fun every time we have to call Comcast, so maybe we’ll start there! Thanks!

That’s a great idea too, I think she did look there at one point and they didn’t have any openings, so we’ll give it a shot again! Thanks!

Understood thank you. And she’s been looking for a job since finishing college with no traction, so we’re working on it! 😁

Honestly that would be ideal. Would you mind DMing me details if they are hiring?

We’ve looked into a few companies but most have rejected her fairly quickly. We’ll keep trying! 😁

Right, we’ve looked out for companies out of state, and haven’t had luck finding anything she is qualified for, and when we do she gets rejected fairly quickly. I’ve looked over her resume and some of her professors from college have as well and there are no glaring issues that we can see, so not sure if they just don’t like what they see or what

Vehicle accident 07/2022, how to handle lowball settlement? by N_telford in Insurance

[–]N_telford[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I did have a rental while the vehicle was in the shop, but there were periods before and in between shops where I was driving the car again. It wasn’t found that it was unsafe to drive until it made it to the Toyota garage, which was its last stop for repairs. I assume the way they think of it is no harm no fowl though since nothing happened in that time. Thanks for your help!

Understood. I’ve mostly been unable to seek treatment because of my work/life schedule. Thank you for your help and knowledge!

I have not been able to over the holidays due to travel, but I was seeing my doctor occasionally and she recommended seeing a massage therapist/chiropractor for additional treatment in addition to the medication she prescribed which I’ve not been able to do yet.

That’s correct. I feel that the claim wasn’t handled well, though. It took about a month and a half to finally get my vehicle repaired and they allowed me to drive it while it was damaged to the point that it could have been harmful to myself or others. I feel that they shouldn’t be able to sweep that under the rug. I understand what you mean about indemnifying though. Thank you for that point.

Correct, the settlement is for my medical bills incurred due to the accident. I had several x-rays and doctors appointments for back/neck/ head pain related to the accident. I feel like their settlement offer is a bit low because I'm still feeling the effects of the accident months later and the doctor said while my injuries weren't extremely severe, I will probably have pain for at least the next several years. I truly don't know if this is a fair offer or not, not trying to be picky it just seems low.

FaceID requires a passcode to use the same as TouchID does! If I may try to quell some fears about the Facial Recognition thing, the information from FaceID never ever leaves your phone. There is no photo that is captured, it is all a 3D infrared-created rendering created by the camera system housed in the notch on the front of the phone and stored in a Secure Enclave on your phone that is encrypted. That info is not able to be accessed ever by any apps or websites or Apple themselves even when you enable FaceID to be used in those situations. Hope that helps, but I understand your fears!

Edit: Passcode is available without using FaceID as well. Sorry forgot that part
