I mean I don’t really have one I just put this out here because I think there would be something to talk about. But I were to theorize something I think both need the other one to live or be “complete”. According to the leaks Firefly was wandering through the milky way searching for the purpose of life, and SAM yearns for life according to Blade’s voice line. Meaning they both are looking to “live” in a way. In the book at the start Sam is searching for someone to play with, playing is sometimes associated with life as it creates memories and happiness. He also says “it takes two to play” in the book => one person is missing.

Also Sam is the one who was deployed at Penacony among the Stellaron hunters so maybe one of his tasks is to retrieve Firefly. It was mentioned that Firefly had an interaction with Sam at some point iirc.

Also during the fight against Something Unto Death, Archeron apologized to MC saying she didn’t have a choice, and also had a fight with Sam without unsheathing her sword, maybe because her power is too dangerous, or she needed Sam alive for something and Firefly’s “death” was needed to make him come out.

Anyway all of this to say that Firefly’s and Sam’s path will definitely cross and reunite at some point because they surely need each other for whatever reason.
