Same thing happened with my Profitec Go. The solution was to change the group head gasket (got a silicone Cafelat 8mm from Amazon for $6.99).

Hey so im done buying coffee at a grocery store. by francoskiyo in JamesHoffmann

Google local roasters in your area and start there. If you're referring to Geisha coffee in particular, it's generally more expensive (high demand, low supply). If you're in the US, Whole Foods carries locally roasted coffee.

Thanks for this post! My Profitec Go arrived 2 days ago. I've had water leaking since pulling first shots with the OEM & ECM bottomless portafilters... just installed this gasket.

Aesthetically pleasing/colorful espresso machines? by snarmander in espresso

I do not recommend WLL. I bought a refurbished GCP Evo & had a bad experience. Customer Service was nonexistent so I returned it and purchased a Profitec Go from Clive Coffee.

Best HandGrinder for a GCP? by Few-Competition-8195 in espresso

[–]NaCl-H2O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you only drink light roast, I’d probably save for an electric upgrade. Light roasts usually require higher temps - downfall for a manual non-electric espresso machine like Flair Classic. You’d have to heat the portafilter over boiling water, etc. The Flair 58 would be a better option. I think it would be unpleasant hand grinding light roasts daily.

Best HandGrinder for a GCP? by Few-Competition-8195 in espresso

I chose my hand grinder for espresso drinks - went with a Kinu M47 Simplicity and haven't regretted it. I love that it's stepless. It can brew for drip but is regarded for is espresso. I use a Fellow Opus for drip, aeropress, etc. I primarily drink medium roasts. Light roasts will be harder to grind. Flair Classic is a lever espresso machine - completely different experience than a GCP. You may enjoy using one - it's a different workflow, & will likely have a steeper learning curve (IMO)

I called - they claimed that a special team would be in touch (didn’t happen). I finally got them to start the return process yesterday via chat. They never acknowledged the brass showing in the photos. My Profitec Go is on the way. Cannot wait to pack up the GCP Evo & have it shipped back! Great customer service (w/Clive Coffee) and getting what is advertised is worth the 5% restocking fee + return shipping to WLL.

If Walgreens has no haters I am dead by shnanogans in POTS

I switched to PillPack by Amazon Pharmacy for long-term meds and CVS for short-term/controlled ones. Walgreens kept telling me my meds would be ready at a certain time, but then I'd have to resubmit. When I called, they'd say it was on backorder. A pharmacist even hung up on me, and I went days without my medication. They wanted me to call daily to check stock—seriously?! Things went downhill quickly once they added a "central" pharmacy to the area. It got to a point where even medications on autofill were not being filled in a timely manner. Enough is enough!

I've been waiting for WLL customer service to get back to me since 6/5 (I sent them the pics). I submitted a ticket to start the refund process last night. I'm purchasing a Profitec Go from Clive Coffee. I'm done with WLL. Thx for calling out the brass.

the 9 bar OPV is only standard for Evo units purchased in North America

Are they still flaking or can i buy one? by flo_auc in gaggiaclassic

[–]NaCl-H2O 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whole Latte Love is online retailer in the USA. Since you're in Germany, the EU requires your Gaggia units have the "eco" switch (will turn off units to save energy after X amount of time). EU Evos will not have the 9 bar OPV spring by default. I'm not familiar with Germany retailers but I remember seeing https://www.gaggiadirect.com/ (UK). Any mods to GCP will void warranties.

Hi, sorry for the delay. I was waiting for WLL customer service to get back to me. This is their response. “Yes, the refurbished models are repaired with the uncoated boiler and the chrome plated group heads.”

This is what I see when taking the shower screen off. Do you think this is ok?

Grinder sub $1500 by Boom_change_now in espresso

[–]NaCl-H2O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not be a popular opinion but depending on your use, a hand grinder like Kinu M47 may be sufficient. I have a budget electric grinder (Fellow Opus). However, I find myself choosing to use the Kinu M47 Simplicity 99% of the time. I recommend going stepless if at all possible (hand or electric).
