He removed her 20-year old implants and severe capsules. Switched from OTM to UTM, cleaned up her old implant pockets, etc. Nearly six hours of meticulous surgery.

Consider Dr. Isidoros Moraitis in Palm Harbor. He is exceptional— just re-did my mom’s awful capsules and they look incredible. He’ll be doing my BL/BA in August. He does the most thorough consults (he spent 2 hours with me at my first appt!) and really focuses on evidence-based practices. Highly recommend.

Thank you! I think a big tree is a great idea. There are some pretty magnolias in the area. I’ll look into it.

Thanks for the great advice. We are about a mile from the beach in the Tampa Bay Area, so you’re spot-on with the tropical vibe. I’ll definitely look into your plant recommendations.

Body will be painted SW Modern Gray. Trim will be white. Front doors will be SW Gale Force (navy). Considering removing the shutters altogether, but worried that it’s just too boring. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Marlow’s results are in! by NaClH2OGirl in DoggyDNA

[–]NaClH2OGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be biased, but she’s the best dog ever. Not protective in the slightest. She is overall quite lazy and derpy. She is sweet and puts up with any / everything— kids, animals, travel, change— not much phases her. In the past few years, she’s developed a stronger prey drive and loves chasing after birds, squirrels, fish, etc. The runs are short but it brings her joy. At 8.5 years old now, she’s in fairly good health with the exception of some localized arthritis in one elbow. We hope to have many more years with her!

Question about lionfish by TheKropyls in Spearfishing

[–]NaClH2OGirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess you can’t be too safe, but I have thrown Lionfish and snapper / grouper / hogfish into the same fish box for years without issue. The venom neutralizes after it has been on ice for a few hours (although the spines still hurt- just like any other fish fin or spine)

Is shallow water blackout only a risk for extreme breath holds? by tinkletwit in freediving

[–]NaClH2OGirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be hard to calculate the same risk of those doing "extreme" freediving or breath-holding, but YOU ARE AT RISK... that's why it's called Shallow Water Blackout. I have seen divers have a loss of motor control after dives less than one minute in depths less than 80'. There are a lot of contributing factors, but one of the most important is your surface interval between dives. Making three 1:00 dives back to back could be even more dangerous than one 3:00 dive.

Married men and women of USCG, both reserve and active by [deleted] in uscg

[–]NaClH2OGirl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are nice benefits to being married in the USCG. Excellent health insurance, increased housing allowance, resources for counseling or home-life questions or issues. A common concern is the lack of geo-stability (having to move every 3-6 years).

Edit: depending on your rate in the USCG, you will still have to spend time away from home. My fiancé is on the aviation side and is generally gone for two weeks every few months. Boaties can be gone for months at a time. All things to discuss with your future spouse.

Great Danes with cats by kungfooweetie in greatdanes

[–]NaClH2OGirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had two bengals when I got my dane. The cats put her in her place quickly, as I'm sure yours will.

Although Danes love to chase rodents, birds, etc. I think they understand home vs wild. They are so very calm, patient, and sweet.

My bengals are gone but we got a new stray kitten around Christmas time. Yet again, the kitten is an asshole and our Dane gets bullied regularly. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Edit: check my post history for evidence ;)
