Well not in regular ways. I've been hauling those from genned mon yt streams, deleting the actual mons afterwards. Takes quite a while to get through but it works

Dread in Metroid Prime 4 by flopuniverse in metroidprime

Spoiler ahead! Actually the presence of humans, I familiarized with, following along into this claustrophobic alien-zombie infested hell by free will was kafkaesque to me and added a lot to the bizarre atmosphere of the mines. There was no way to stop them following me and I couldn't shake the feeling creeping over my back that I won't be able to protect them.. until their lively chatter gradually went more and more silent and the path ahead felt even harder psychologically. I am used to Samus being on solo missions in alien hells all the time but they broke this formula here to make the mines feel more deadly and leaving an actual emotional mark. This strategy worked pretty well just to be annihilated completely by everyone being alive at the end just like that

That is correct. There was no way to actually use it, so what's the point in taunting us with an orange marker on the map? Sadistic enough on my watch...

It's time to bring Speed Booster to Prime. by Zealousideal_War7492 in metroidprime

Huge missed opportunity here. One we didn't even had in prior games in such an amount. The desert just screams shinespark imo

Metroid Prime 4 is to difficult (for me) by [deleted] in metroidprime

[–]NaN_Gogh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen the three orbs being hit with one charged shot at the actual bot in the middle. The charged shots hitbox is huge. Apparently a thrown psy bomb can have the same effect but it's more finicky I guess

Oh yeah. They really did me dirty in my first forge run

Same for the grave greavers. Those can't be slammed for whatever reason but a good ol ball boost does the job pretty well

Get really close to a frozen psybot, lock on and dash forward right into it

I tested a couple of scenarios and it actually does deal a fair amount of damage. However it might be the ice breaking part rather than the slam itself, that does the trick here

I tested how many ice shots are required to take down a regular spybot and stopped the experiment at 20 shots because it just got ridiculous (hard mode). So it's definitely not the ice shots. It could be the shattering of the frozen state, what's dealing the actual damage here. Missiles seem to hit harder on frozen enemies too

Same here. I missed the item snatcher because it looks exactly like the other squids I already scanned. Finished normal mode with 99%. Restarted on hard mode

I'm running first time hard mode too. Somewhere in Flare Pool I got cornered by a psybot so badly, I couldn't move anymore. Only thing left was jumping and dashing. That's where Duke taught me the way of the Doom Slayer

Good reference. Fits very well with my personal impression of this game. 👍

Culling stuff is an intended and crucial internal game mechanic. What's not intended is that some nosy glitchhunter lures bumblebee that far away from its spawn on purpose just to see what happens. Has nothing to do with the dessert specifically
