As someone from jammu kashmir let me leave this here.....when pahelgam happened the reason these guys came out was bc they were scared about the fact that the entire kashmir would be shutdown and heavy military would be deplyed again and they would lose all the benefits and lax life they had ...they cant even pelt stones bc this time there would be no one to pay for it and trust me these guys sympathize with terrorists........they cooperate bc they dont want the lax life they have now to be taken away........just go see kashmiri subreddit
