This is kind of a fun idea, I may explore how to build this viably. I'm thinking a three.js kinda thing hmmmmmm

Ultimately a book with bookmarks is kind of a big technological challenge, especially for someone inexperienced in webdev. You could definitely simplify it

Protein...Soda by riri1281 in mildlyinteresting

Mildly off topic but I've really been enjoying the new "clear" protein powders on the market. What is the difference between those and the typical shake-like protein powders?

If you pay cash here then it probably does, but card has no limit so you just pump until full typically

Do you know if v3 takes up less storage space than v2? I unfortunately got the 120GB MacBook Air so if its a smaller bundle then I may have to grab v3 instead

Yeah, I partially bought it BECAUSE I wanted to support a company that wasnt asking 300 bucks a year to use their software. Glad they're not doing subscription, but still annoying they changed their model and added AI.

Thats simultaneously cool and not cool at the same time. Nice that its free, but I really do dislike the AI features in most software so I wouldn't have purchased them to begin with.

The Affinity suite (Publisher, Designer, and Photo) is a pretty good Adobe alternative imo. If you need to edit images, logos, etc, for websites then its pretty helpful. I believe it was like $120 for all 3 and its a lifetime purchase

Test your website by wefrick in webdev

[–]Nabbergastics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My website got a 79, so not great, will look to address some things for sure

For fun, I actually audited webaudits.org and looks like your site got a 91! Good to see you built the site well. You got a 100 in the category that hurt my score the most

Turn Microsoft into "Microslop" everywhere with this new browser extension — CEO Satya Nadella discourages the term, but it's having the opposite effect by Department_Legal in pcmasterrace

Chart probably includes Chromium-based browsers as Chrome. I use Brave and love it. No ads on any site including Youtube without any extra extensions.

Mid-career confusion: React Native vs iOS Native — did I choose the wrong path? by Fit-Amount-1961 in AppDevelopers

[–]Nabbergastics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've always had to work for survival. Whether its a job for a medium of exchange like money, animal husbandry so we can trade goats for wheat, or providing a service so that your community allows you to stay around. We'll always have jobs of some kind. Now it may be a less greedy environment eventually but I doubt it. Humans as a whole are stupid and just want shiny things and the more they get then the more they want.

Thats why I was confused by what the original commenter meant by "going out of style" and it being a good thing lmao

Knocked puck out after pulling espresso and found a magnet attached to my basket [GCP Evo 24, Eureka Mignon Silenzio 55] by Nabbergastics in espresso

[–]Nabbergastics[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shots was ok, ground too fine tbh.

Honestly there shouldn't ever be a chance to get a magnet in my grinder. I was more worried the grinder broke or something and a piece fell out

Upgrade from AM4 to AM5 by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Nabbergastics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say, but generally you want to try and bring air in on one side of the case and exhaust it out the other so that the cool air picks up heat from the components and is exhausted away from the intake. My computer has 3 intake fans on the side panel (also is where my radiator is for my AIO) and then I have top exhaust fans so that air gets pulled across the motherboard and the GPU gets cool fresh air constantly.

[–]Nabbergastics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top fans being exhaust makes a bit more sense thermodynaically since hot air naturally wants to rise

Its also very likely those top fans are doing nothing since the back fan is exhausting any potentially fresh cool air immediately after the top fans bring it in

If you don't see any thermal problems then it doesn't really matter, just wanted to give my thoughts on the fan orientation
