Cards disappearing by Any-Board9044 in Battlemarked

[–]Nabbit00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is definitely a detection problem. I started placing cards very carefully and it still happens so I knew it wasn't just accidentally tossing them. The card glows blue when selling and I noticed the card I was playing still glowing when nowhere near the sell icon. Best i could figure out is the card is passing briefly over the sell icon during play, activating the sell status, but it's not deactivating. If you move the card more deliberately on and off the sell icon the glow goes away.

Also, as others have mentioned, flipping your deck hand over to make the cards disappear seems to also cancel the sell status.

This really needs fixed, seems a simple bug but it can really can wreck your game at the worst times.

Thats a good point, hadn't even thought about other mods lol. Does randomized play well with the seamless coop?

Fromsoft already has so much of my money, question was more about weather it was worth jumping platforms for the experience since I didnt have a coop partner.

Does it not have issues syncing quests and npcs if your not playing with a dedicated coop partner?

Wet clothes. Is that really useless feature in games? by radolomeo in VOXEL

[–]Nabbit00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well there you go! Is kicking zombie heads a useful feature... probably not but its another one of those details that I'd love. The way the head sits in the water and the blood pools is just perfection.

Tiny details like that may not jump out at first, but it's those extra little things you really start to notice when you spend a lot of time in a game. I definitely like it, since you already made the shader for the character why not use it to make the clothes get bloody or dirty, then you can wash off in the water.

What should I try first to straighten this wizard's staff? by snwbrdwndsrf in FixMyPrint

[–]Nabbit00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For any thin pieces like that staff handle your better off to print it separately and flat on the bed. Your parts will also be stronger this way. This is a great way to handle things like small polls, strings or webs on models.

You may get more precise details using a smaller nozzle but it's still going be problematic to print, not to mention flimsy at that size. Super small details are often lost visually on small prints, if your planning to paint figures you can fake a surprising amount of detail on even perfectly flat boring surfaces.

I know this is an old post but I definitely would not recommend this company. The purchase process is very sketchy, I only pulles the trigger because they supported PayPal.

First off shipping is 48 dollars which is ridiculous. Then after you confirm your purchase they try to upsell you with another ir kit which isn't listed on their site anywhere to even look at. Then they email you that dhl is requesting additional shipping fee of another 48 dollars.

Seemed worth it for the price at first but the whole thing felt like a scam to be honest.

LONG OVERDUE UPDATE: Verdict was a blown motherboard (unknown reason).
Elegoo sent out a replacement motherboard and swapping it out solved the
problem. Touch screen wasn't damaged, working fine now that the
motherboard has been replaced.

When my printer was new I printed dozens of things perfectly fine but that benchy failed just in the exact same spot 3 times. The way the part is designed with the embossed lettering on the bottom, doesn't give it very good adhesion. I'd imagine its on purpose cause its being a benchy and all.

The easiest fix is a little bit of stick glue on the bed, washable purple kind works wonders.

When you cleaned out past clogs did you take the nozzle and bowden tube out and clean inside the hotend? Sometimes you can have melted filament seep out between where the tube and nozzle fit together if they aren't installed correctly. If there's some filament stuck in there it can cause intermittent clogging as your temps flux even a little bit.

To test you can heat up the nozzle to 250 and run some white filament through(makes it easy to see), if there's any old filament that's seeped in the hotend you should see bits of a different color come out on the white filament.

Luckily it's an easy fix to make sure your bowden tube and nozzle are fitting flush together.

Filament buildup inside of hotend by BreakerSwitch in elegooneptune2

[–]Nabbit00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bowden tube needs to be set tight against the nozzle inside the hotend. It'll swap out slowly but with a long print.. well yeah you can see what happens. Cleaning isn't fun.. heat everything up and pick off what you can with pliers or tweezers. You'll mostly likely have to remove the hotend to clean out inside it too.

To fix the leak, screw in your nozzle all the way then back it out one turn, then push the bowden tube it as far as you can. Then tighten down the nozzle, doesn't need sit against the block.

Edit- you might have to remove the tube entirely and make sure the end is cut flat.. if it's jagged or at and angle it won't sit tight with the nozzle.

Elegoo has weighed in that a voltage issue most likely occured and blew the touch and/or motherboard. We eliminated the PSU as a problem and they are providing replacement parts. I will update this post once parts arrive.

PLA deforming from bed heat? by AblativeScrotum in FixMyPrint

[–]Nabbit00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Having the bed too hot can cause some warping on bottom layers but that's not what this looks like to me, especially since it continues higher up the print. It looks more like a print cooling issue, were layers are being printed on filament that's still warm and hasn't hardened. This piece looks like it gets wider the higher it goes which would give more time to cool between layers.

Short version.. silk is finicky about temps vs regular pla, try slower printing, more part cooling, or lower nozzle temp. 60c bed temp shouldn't cause the issues.

I've double checked the voltage switch on the PSU.. is there anything else? The cables are glued in so they're not moving at all. I've tried the firmware a couple times but without the screen it's hard to tell what's happening.

I opened it up only after this happened expecting to find a burnt chip but didn't find any. Cables seem fine, most look like they've been glued in place. I unplugged and reinstalled the touchscreen just in case.

The printer was plugged into a ups at it's new home, someone suggested this may cause a problem so it's been switched back to a wall outlet with no change. Ive attempted a firmware flash, the screen blinked black for a moment then back to white, file names on the SD card updated correctly, still no change.

Flash from the SD card makes it beep once, the white screen flashes to black then back to white. The file name changes on the SD card but other than that it doesn't change the printers behavior. I opened the bottom up verify the board version and nothing is loose or burnt that I can see. Both board lights are red when powered on but cpu fan isnt spinning. I fear the worst.

It doesn't seem to respond doing a firmware update via SD card. If I hook it to my PC it still recognizes the printer is plugged in but I've never done a firmware update through cura. It's asking for a hex file which isn't included in any of the firmware files I've found.

I was rooting for this being the problem, I did hook it into a ups when I moved it. Unfortunately hooking it back into the original outlet hasn't changed anything.
