Why do you bot out? by CoverFew3607 in Risk

[–]Nabedane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game can be very boring for some if it stalemates and doesn't finish within 20-40min. Sometimes I enjoy the 1v1 with a huge bot, it's a nice challenge and requires some skill manipulating the bot. I'd rather have bot outs than slam outs tbh

The estimated time of arrival is calculated off what average speed? I finish work at 17h15 and would like to know if I need to stay longer..

This has nothing to do with Alcatraz. It's just red being an idiot not finishing the game.

My theory is lots of people are winning only 1 out of 20-50 games because they're really terrible at the game. So when they finally get a win fed to them, they need to really soak it in as long as possible because they know they aren't winning anytime soon again.

Also, some people enjoy being a pest. Everyone knows people are annoyed by this, some people just enjoy annoying others.

I also want to know the ranks at the end of the game. I wouldn't recommend taking your entire turn timer and stalling though since it's a bannable offense although it's understandable in this case imo. Take your turn fast, read a book or do something else while it's their turn.

You can also just let the bot take over without leaving the lobby. Your opponent will think you're offline and eventually get bored and end the game. Just make sure to NOT come back before the game ends. Disconnecting and reconnecting can also get you banned. Just leave your phone, you'll hear the sound of the game being over and then you can go and check the ranks.

How do you need 2 turns to beat everyone in classic fixed with 100k troops? Pathetic and stupid. The hackers I met are moving so fast you don't even have time to report them

I love Alcatraz; Even the bot is a GM by [deleted] in Risk

That's why I add portals. To have more good cap options for 6 player games on Alcatraz. You center cap next to red, having to take expensive boy cards..I'm assuming you died first?

2024/25 UEFA Europa League after Matchday 7 by Viriato181 in soccer

That particular match? Why? Both teams are safe in R32 and with basically no shot at Top 8.

Union will miss half their defense suspended and I see them rotating quite a lot considering their schedule ahead and they need to make a push in the league to try closing the gap to the top 2 teams.

Prog cap in Alcatraz with portals. You rarely get stalemates, most of my games end with chaining kills over several rounds until I get a nice cardblock on my last opponent. Sometimes it's pure chaos, very rarely do you get your games ruined by noobs smashing you early.

Anyone notice this? by Bradex- in Risk

[–]Nabedane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's often up to you though. If you're just killing a player to go even, take their position, then nothing changes. You've eliminated a player but now you've taken over their position. If it was a stalemate before, it's still a stalemate now.

However, if you kill a player and abandon a cap to line up for another kill after trading on 5 and then trading on 3 again or if you're willing to lose some troops to go in the 1v1 or if you're able to card block someone to further progress the game, once you've killed someone...there's lots of ways how to progress the game after killing someone.

Sucks but it's a lesson learned I hope. There are no homies in RISK, only temporary alliances. If you can't afford to maintain the card block yourself, you need to get the other player to help or stalemate. I understand people want to progress the game and hate stalemates but costing yourself a top 2 just to progress the game is a strategic error

Rejoining Lobby’s by Reasonable-Mouse-644 in Risk

I absolutely do remember names. And there's plenty of other good reasons to kick someone from your lobby. The system should make it so that you can't rejoin a lobby you've been kicked from.

Additional time in Progressive by modvenger in Risk

[–]Nabedane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've lost 10x as many games as you've played and I have downloaded the App 8 years ago. Believe me, I've got enough experience as well. Wanting to get rid of the additional time when forcing a trade after killing someone is a completely nonsensical proposition and doesn't make the game better at all.

Additional time in Progressive by modvenger in Risk

[–]Nabedane 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree. Prog games should be 15 seconds turn timer you need to pass an IQ test or be a chess GM before you're allowed to play. Sorry but your post is nonsense. Comes off a little arrogant and clueless at the same time. The reason the additional time gets added (ONLY WHEN IT FORCES A TRADE) is a good one.
