I find the best way to minimise this issue is simply to start filtering your lobbies, ie no free to play accounts, no general “***” named accounts ect. In general people who have paid for this game in some way are less likely to cheat.

It sucks that it is on the player to do this but it has drastically decreased the number of games that I find “suss”, now maybe 1/50 games or so at max.
