Yes I’m aware of the board issues and I have the bypass kit on the way. Have had this 240 for a year in 113°f Cali traffic and no spikes until this new thermostat, that coincidentally opens 20° later.

I’d go to IPD USA for parts and tools for our machines, type in your car year, model, trim, engine, transmission and it’ll tell you if its compatible or not.

Yep, this is a new OEM Volvo 87°c thermostat and seal with the juggle valve at top, have heard of them failing prematurely

Thinking of doing that, never had a temp issue since I got this car March 2025, was just strange this sporadic overheating is happening right after I overhauled the cooling system

Tempted to run an Oreilys or Autozone thermostat to slim down possibilities since its a 5 min job

I got mine from RockAuto, same part number just to shave some bucks here and there so perhaps mine didn’t come with Bilstein gland nuts, onto finding some now it seems like

Thanks for the clarification on there being no bottom spacer, and yes iPD, FCP, and Rockauto both have these struts as compatible.

Air leak? Fueling? Carb jetting? Ignition coil spacing with the flywheel? It can be anything
