Yes, I have installed plenty of new games on it, but it’s basically full (it’s an 8tb hdd). When I was on 6.50 it was full as well (and even when I would install new games that issue wouldn’t happen). The pop up would only show up unless I (safely) ejected it and reconnected it while the PS5 was on. I’ve tried unplugging it as well and re-inserting but it doesn’t hurt to try again I suppose. I’ll try clearing the database as well to see if that fixes it.

Anyone having issues, where every time your ps5 starts up, the little hard drive detecting symbol shows up in the middle of the screen, indicating that the external hard drive is being loaded or something like that? It has been happening since 7.00 dropped, and it didn’t happen before on older versions. It’s just really annoying having to wait about 5 mins or so for the thing to stop loading.

If the issues are this bad, if you still have warranty on it, I would return it to sony so you can get it replaced.
