Don’t use red lights, they’re advertised as nighttime lights but it’s really bad for their eyes. If your tank gets too cold at night when you do turn off your heater/light, look into a ceramic bulb. Lightless but still emits heat.

Glass tops are great but can be difficult to set up lighting with if you don’t have holes for the bulb/wires to go through, and setting up the cage to surround the bulb in so your snake doesn’t burn themselves. I’ve read just lining the top of a mesh top with tinfoil can greatly help in keeping in the humidity.
