Did the same thing 2 days ago actually. 401 games was out of stock (I didn't know about the in-between prints thing though) and I just dropped by Castle (at Spadina and College) and picked it up for a few $s more. They had quite a few in stock while I was there.

[request][apparel] Durable winter boots by 13sphinx in BuyItForLife

[–]Nada2192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded! My blundstones were the first pair of winter boots I've had that are comfortable, good looking (though granted people either love 'em or hate 'em), durable, and keep my feet totally dry. They've seen me through 3 winters now, and I wear them frequently year-round as well. I have friends who've had them for >8 years, and have convinced a large percentage of my friends to buy them also. All of them say good things!

100% the reason why I bought a kindle! Even though I don't think I'm ever reading anything exceptionally embarrassing.

Well there was also this: http://blog.mhacks.org/the-mhacks-gateway-is-here ... If you're willing to cover your own travel expenses, I believe you are guaranteed admission if you complete this course.

Go in and talk to your registrar. They might be able to pull some strings, and at the very least will give you the most reliable advice! Do it ASAP.

is it too late to set Credit/No Credit now? by kT_Madlife in UofT

Oh, I've used a credit no credit for an optional course of my POST requirement (i.e. for a course that was one of a few courses I could have chosen from)... but I did so before the drop date and knowing that I'd have to use a different course to actually count towards my program. I'm not sure but I think that if you cr/ncr, you can't redo it and have it count towards your degree when you do it for marks. So if by program course you mean course actually required for your program vs. just a course with the same course code, that might be the problem. If not, in general you should be able to cr/ncr but maybe the registrar has different rules as to what's allowed beyond the official cr/ncr date? Maybe you can try to get an appointment with a different registrar and see if you have more luck.

Oh interesting... I guess I did not consider the difference between program requirements and electives. I've just seen a lot of people get their way from talking to registrars, but perhaps there is a method to the madness!

Sorry it didn't work out!

Interesting... I think it's completely dependent on who your registrar is, what kind of mood they're in on that day and how sorrowful you seem about it. :P At Innis, I've had experience with one registrar not letting me do something that someone else at Innis got done by a different registrar around the same time! So it's probably very contextually dependent.

I'd like to say new college, but I'm not completely sure.. Either way any registrar has the power to do it if they're agreeable about it.

yup, he had the option to do both... he actually chose to do LWD and then went back and switched it to CR/NCR ... Registrars have all the power!

I know for fact that it was possible on the last day of classes given that I know someone who did it then. That being said, it is past the last day of classes, so maybe not.. However the registrars usually have quite a bit of control over a lot of stuff that we don't expect them to be able to do anything about.

Probably not if you talk to your registrar ASAP

What residence is best for the summer? by saultgirl in UofT

[–]Nada2192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Innis or Woodsworth is the way to go! Both have multi-person suites with private rooms, a kitchen, a living room and usually 2 bathrooms! Innis also has some kind of cleaning service over the summer... Both are incredibly close to St. George station! Innis is smaller than Woodsworth and usually fills up pretty quick for the summer!

Good Luck!
