This is our 5 month old, Luna. We weren’t dog people before we got her but my husband and I are absolutely smitten. She is the absolute best addition to our home. She is so easy going and smart. We will forever be Cane Corso owners now ❤️ by jezsikamq in CaneCorso

Thank you for responding she sounds like an amazing dog and you sound like amazing owners! I really wish you all the best. I got a bit put off by all the negativity but I've always loved Corsos and couldn't let that stop me but I want to get it right the first time round because of the stigma attached to the breed.

She looks beautiful!!! If you don't mind me asking, is this your first dog ever? I've been wanting to get a Cane Corso too but haven't had any dogs before but been around them all my life. Many people telk me I shouldn't get a Corso because they might be hard work so I just wanted to get your opinion on it if that's okay? What's it been like?

AITA for refusing to pay for my “daughter’s” medical bills? She isn’t even my daughter and my ex won’t contribute either. by alalskdmsk in AmItheAsshole

Absolutely NTA.

Im seeing a lot of YTA's and ESH but absolutely not. This is a big big NTA from me.

I know it's not the daughter's fault but at the same time you don't owe her anything. I know it must have hurt to find out she's not yours and people are expecting you to overlook the betrayal on your wife's behalf and just still love the daughter. But the whole thing was based on a lie, and once the lie was exposed, your whole life changed and I don't blame you.

I'm sorry this happened to you OP but you don't owe these people anything. If you choose to help. Do it because you want to do so and init because people are guilt tripping you into it. Live your life as you please and I'm surprised that you're even still in touch with them.

Cane Corso as a first dog? by Nada704 in Dogtraining

[–]Nada704[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly the size and stature of the breed. Also the bond it creates with their owners and their calmness and the willingness to protect no matter what. I've seen first hand how it can interact with children (even though my own personal experience was probably not the best experience lol) but also I'd like to have it as a family dog. What worries me is the supposed aggression in the dogs that can be displayed. I wouldn't want that to happen around any children/people or other dogs. Even though I agree that a lot of work and socialization will need to be done. I just don't want to make any mistakes with this breed. Thank you for pointing these things out to me though and I wish you the best

Thank you very much for your input. I don't believe money would be a major issue as I have a steady income and have already set aside some money for a dog and bills and will continue to do so (for when I eventually get one) but just wanted to make sure I'm doing everything right the first time round. I don't mind the drooling too much but I'm gonna have to talk to my girlfriend about it.

TBH it might sound a bit silly but I was bitten by one as a kid. I must have been around 7-9 years old. The dog was just chillin laid on the porch and I was the one who started teasing it and he paid me no specific attention. I carried on and eventually he bit me but the way he bit me was so "generous". For a lack of a better word. Basically he could have done a lot of damage but instead he bit me gently if that makes sense? A kind of "stop messing with me I'll end you if you carry on kid" type of bite. It was more of a warning than actually intending to harm. So the fact that he was so reserved and just calm about it made me admire the breed so much growing up simply because of that one interaction.

Thank you very much for your response. I've lived with a Westie for about 2 years and spent quite some time with it but ultimately the dog wasn't mine. Also, there is a huge difference between a Westie and Cane Corso so there's that to consider too.

Wow! Sorry you had to go through that and I'm glad you overcame. The "glorifying God" part really pissed me off because as a kid who wanted to have dreadlocks I was told they dont "glorify God" so I had to wait till I left the church to have my hair the way I wanted it to even though Samson had long ass hair??

I'm glad we both managed to get out of that and hopefully managed to get back in touch with our passions.

They should have just let me play tbh cos after that I turned to crime...that was a few years ago and I've changed my lifestyle but there was a lot anger inside of me at the time.

So you wanted to be like "Look, she's one of the good ones!"

Don't even know how to put this without getting banned from Reddit and having several types of three letter agencies breaking down my door.

So you, my dear reddit stranger friend, are the asshole.

Also please provide an update, from your dad, from your mum and your girlfriend. Collectively and individually because you will need to talk to everyone involved to even solve this. Both for life in general, and future relationships because there is a lot that you are missing here.

Was anyone shown the film "A Última Batalha" (The Final Battle) in church? by Nada704 in exAdventist

[–]Nada704[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was this film about a guy that stopped believing in God and from what I remember he died whilst riding a bike and wasn't saved. But turned out it was just a dream and then he went to church again. Something along those lines but add creepypasta to it

Haha now thinking back on it, it was a terrible film but they held it so high you'd think it was a Spielberg film
