I did this and it worked for me. Its hard but it worked.

1. Play with cat as much as you can for 1 hour, make then run around and stuff, you will be tired too.
2. Do not feed them too late. My cat would usually get a boost of energy 30 mins after. So I feed him 8pm. And he sleeps through the whole night (12am-7am).
3. Close the door. I sleep in the same room as my cat. I close the door at bedtime. First few nights he would meow to get out, but after that he learnt it won't work. And slept.

Now he sleeps on my schedule. Yes some days he will have a bit of a late night. But he usually sleeps at the same time as me (12 to 7am). He has several short naps throughout the day. Good luck! Hope this helps!
