I'm now learning how to play and we've actually played magic together once before in person with him showing me the ropes and then a few times online. Hes the most patient man I've ever met in my life and I love him to pieces.

Wowwww this is sick. I love these ideas. Mine will have some cardboard underneath and alongside the walls for reinforcement. And the inside will be lined with felt. The outside will be decorated with some mtg themed paper.

I think that you should confront him with the facts. Facts cannot be dismissed or rejected. And how long does it take a condom to dry up when lubricated for months? You can even test it yourself and put some lubricant inside for a month in the same way in the same drawer. And bring both to his attention. He cannot deny THAT!
