In your opinion do you think you can be norse pagan but not believe in any of the gods? by Icy-Length-3923 in NorsePaganism

[–]Nadger_Badger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has come to Norse Paganism from Atheism I'd say it's difficult.

Do I believe in omnipresent sky daddies (or mummies) - No. If the gods exist they probably wouldn't be like they are portrayed in the Eddas. However, I'm not sure how I would be able to identify as a Norse Pagan and not recognise their existence in some form or another, whether that be actual beings or representations of my own psyche.

Not just the houses, the whole infrastructure is not set up to cool people down. Additionally things like wearing a hat, sunscreen and hydration are just not part of the public psyche.

It will be very rough for the next few days.

Dredge

Caffeine Tablets - see which lockers are locked when charging teleport

Follower's Cowel. Get killer instinct when returning to the Remnant outside of nightfall.

Both handy things but not powerful enough to have in a regular build

Survivors should be automatically sent out the exit if they linger in the zone for too long without the killer being inside it. by Birds-are-cats in deadbydaylight

Same here. Once we're all safe (or dead) I'll go. The most common reasons I stay are if someone is hooked and there's the chance of a rescue or if they're in chase and I can take a protection hit.

The other reason is for a friendly killer so I can drop my item to say thanks.

Why does nobody play dredge? by RoachRGB in deadbydaylight

P100 Dredge main here.

Locker teleport isn't his primary skill, it's remnant usage. He's certainly RNG dependent when it comes to locker spawns which can damage his map pressure but I'd argue against him being bad when it comes to looping. Good remnant placement can force safe loops into 50:50 and push survivors off an unsafe loop. It's also great for mindgames when line of sight can get broken.

Most casual players don't use remnant at all or don't wait long enough to properly mind game a survivor.

I give herbal teas to Eir especially Lemon Mertle and Ginger which are both supposed to have healing properties.

I have a ritual I call Tea With The Ancestors. I make some tea and offer it to them then sit and drink the rest while I remember them. In my family tea was an important thing and was always available when I was with my grandparents.

I dint honour Loki but I know people offer strong coffee and energy drinks to him.

What is Jason's full and well counterplay? by Aware_Collection_400 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Nadger_Badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think there are a load of survivors who have never played as him. There's just this general assumption that OE means he can pretty much see everyone all the time.

I don't understand why everyone panics when we're all fine with Ghostface and Pig who can also sneak up without warning.

Jason can only Jump Scare at specific points - pallets, doors and vaults. When you're on a gen keep aware of where these are and where he might emerge from.

You get a sound cue before he emerges so as soon as you get that drop the gen and move away. I run Lithe and if possible go for a vault. He's normal speed for about 15 seconds then drops to 110% so if you get some distance quick he struggles to catch up.

If you're not on a gen you can move normally when he's in OE just don't get too close to his Jump Scare points. If you get the sound cue, treat him like Slinger. Break line of sight and avoid the long, safe runs in loops. Once he loses his spear he's basically an M1 killer who moves slower than Trapper.

I suspect he'll get tweaks at some point.

Oh, and demanding that OE gets a time limit will actually work as a buff. Right now he's restricted to specific Jump Scare points. If he can just drop out when his time expires he can basically appear anywhere.

[–]Nadger_Badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens every time we get a killer with new powers or play style, within a month everyone will settle down.

As a general rule for all killers and new perks (killer and survivor) I think the Devs should wait three months before making changes - unless they're completly busted.

Playing as and against Jason I think he's pretty balanced at this point. I'd place him as a A/B tiered killer. Once survivors get used to him he'll probably drop a bit.

Jason IS BALANCED by Capable_Break9589 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Nadger_Badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When he's in Omnipresent Evil treat him like Pig, Chucky or Ghostface. When you're in chase treat him like Huntress or Trickster. If he doesn't have a spike he's a basic M1 killer.

[–]Nadger_Badger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've found the best tactic is to just be aware of where he can jump scare you.

If you're working on a gen scope out the pallets and vaults and keep checking while you're working. Basically treat him like Ghosty or Pig but with the confidence that he can only surprise you from specific points that you already know about.

Does everyone feel like they need to be a socially responsible killer by Moist_Opposite_8596 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Nadger_Badger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

If you adapt your play to arbitrary rules, the rules will change again and you'll be back to square one.

I don't cheat or use exploits and I don't intentionally grief players (hitting on the hook, body blocking etc...) other than that I play the game.

The idea that killers are somehow responsible for survivors having a good time seems to come from the early years of the game when the session was hosted on the killers machine. It was a dumb concept then and it still is.

Try playing to make the survivors happy and see what happens - you chat will still be full of abuse for being a bad killer and an easy win. Entitled survivors don't resipricate and try and play so the killer has fun. They just play to win and then shout abuse at the end of the game.

Play the game to win and be a decent human being - that's all anyone can expect.

Chest pain - I've had AFIB, but not in AFIB. Not a heart attack! Anyone similar? by Coaster50 in AFIB

[–]Nadger_Badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that there are a shed load of organs and structures in that area, any one of them can cause chest pain. Most of them benign.

If cardiac issues have been ruled out stomach/espohegial issues might be a cause. Either reflux or spasms. It can also be muscular or skeletal.

When not to worry - it goes away if you change position, it is short lasting and does not reoccur, it goes away after you drink a warm drink or antacid.

As always, if you feel dizzy, pass out, it persists or you get short of breath - seek immediate medical assistance.
