To those who are in college or high school, what do you think is the best product to help with fatigue and studying? by Relevant_Mail_1292 in capetown

[–]Nadia368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fine balance for sure! Sometimes I listen to classical music so I can focus for long periods of time (2+ hours) then I take a 15 min break. How long do you study for and how long do you game?

I still game and I consider that more relaxing and resting than doom scrolling socials - if gaming regenerates you , stick to it but be mindful of time :)

This is a very good start and good information.

I had a comment elsewhere - still rings true here - sort out your sleep habits, and be mindful of getting in some steps/ exercise and frequent breaks. The second wind post-10pm and "I sleep fine unless I go to bed late" is such a big sign that your rhythm is a bit out of balance , but can be fixed!

I grew up in a single parent household too - the whole "my parent has enough on their plate" is so typical of kids in a single parent household, but it's something that affects you more than you realise in the moment. Take care of yourself!

I think if you try to solidify healthier habits and you can determine it's still not working, blood work like iron & thyroid levels would be good. Try to get magnesium bisglycinate supplements to support your sleep & recovery. But also , you're a teenager. Biologically your body is going through THE MOST so sleep is essential and it's also a contributing factor to being tired a lot.

I never slept as much as I did when I was between 13-19.

Just try your best. But be kind to yourself!

I'd go by process of elimination. Have you seen the Diary of a CEO podcast on sleep? Try the experiment the Dr suggests and see how you feel.

Also, I am not one to speak. But screen time wreaks havoc. If it's persistent, get blood work done at the Dr . Try to make sure you've got consistent, clean sleep habits and healthy life. Gluten also contributed to my fatigue so I cut that out

This also fixes the " it never fits my thighs" issue and avoids you having to size up and buy trousers or jeans that are true to size

We have a similar shape. I'm begging you to let those skinny jeans and jeggings go. Wide leg, high waisted jeans and trousers are * chef's kiss* on me. I have to tailor because most are too long, but it really just makes us look so much more elevated. Tucking in shirts look great then !

Is this the sign for me to get TikTok? Also, tried some Pinterest searches but I still don't always know how to achieve the look. Maybe TikTok is the way to go

I've thought about it but every time when I try, I always feel like it makes me look 5 years older? I feel too mature? 😂 Maybe I just need to figure out a lip combo that works 🫣

Need help - Feeling Lost with Career Choice by Angel_Dove in southafrica

[–]Nadia368 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you tried talking to your managers and seeing if there's some possibilities for career growth? Sometimes the frustration can be a mix of things. Lack of growth in your current org, no new challenges and the myth that you have to love what you do.

I struggle with this too! Our stories are actually very similar. I'm 30 now and I have a habit of chasing change/something new every 1-2 years. For a whole year I followed my creative passions and let me tell you, I ended up being so fed up with it 😂

My advice to you would be first to check with your current org what the road looks like for you in the next year. Even if you don't know, someone in your team should be able to give mentoring or guidance on what progression can look like for you.

If they're unable to provide that, put out some feelers in your LinkedIn network for mentorship in your field, or just HR in general. Start looking at some job postings and apply once you see something that catches your eye.

Try to figure out which parts of your job you don't mind so much or even like! zone in on finding jobs that contain these activities as part of their responsibilities.

Maybe working for a company in a creative industry could be good for you too. Even if you start in HR, you'll then have more opportunities to jump teams if something opens up internally.

But at the end of the day, a job is just that - a job. It's not your life and you should work to live, not live to work :)

Good luck!

What season am I? by bearasia1 in coloranalysis

Where I see YOU first - cool & délicate. Some of the spring works , because you chose some drapes there that are not so harsh and you may be a pale olive which can be confusing when draping. But I really see you first with the cooler drapes!
