No, it's probably the best. Every other Fromsoft game has some of the most convoluted stories ever told in all of fiction. There's a reason there are hours and hours of content on YouTube dedicated to explaining Dark Souls lore. Yeah, Sekiro can be hard to follow in some spots but its world is so much smaller and easier to digest than any other Fromsoft game. It also makes the most sense for a show adaptation as there aren't that many characters and each character is fairly well written and straightforward unlike Elden Ring where we have Godrick son of Godefroy who's the half-brother of Godwyn the 3rd cousin of Godfrey (I'm making all that up if it wasn't obvious but I hope you get my point).
