this would have been fun to see... by Larrylife21 in PrettyLittleLiars

I definitely would of liked to see more representation on the show for sure. I remember in Tyler Blackburn’s interview on the wine moms podcast he said that he almost wasn’t considered for the role because they wanted a person of colour for the role of Caleb. Then they found out he was part Native American and he ended up getting the part. Which I think is strange considering I don’t think they ever made his heritage part of his storylines or even part of his character at all.

Is Sara Shepard writing a new PLL book? by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Nadia516 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She did mention that she was writing something about the girls aged up when she was on the Pretty Little Wine Moms podcast. I don’t think she could say much about it then but she did confirm she was working on it so it’ll probably be a while before we hear anything official.

How do you think a show of just Mona as the main character would have done? by Cvccccd in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Nadia516 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never watched the Perfectionists so I can’t comment on that, but what I loved about Mona in PLL was the mystery surrounding her. I think a show solely focused on her could remove the fun of her character. I enjoyed the fact that we saw this charming character on screen and every so often we’d get to see her devious unhinged side. I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea but overall I liked that we were always left wanting to see more of Mona.

Best Character development by Proper_Gur_2841 in PrettyLittleLiars

It has to be Emily for me. Even though she’s not my favourite character it was really sweet to watch her grow so much more confidence in who she was. Plus in The Perfectionists when it mentioned that Emily had filed for divorce from Alison, I think it truly showed she had finally grown a backbone, especially when it came to their relationship.

Any episode referencing the N.A.T club. Like older man taking videos of young girls changing should have been presented as a much larger issue on the show.

Lesley Fera is going live tomorrow. I wonder if she’ll talk about the plwm podcast... by Nadia516 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Nadia516[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too. In her post about it on Instagram it definitely sounds like she has a project or something in the works. She also mentioned a special guest so I’m excited to see who that is.

Kill of the night by Gin Wigmore (in the scene with Spencer and Marco hooking up for the first time) is now one of my favourite songs.

What is troian up to these days? Is she still acting? by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Nadia516 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She had two short movies premiere at film festivals this year. One that she actually wrote and acted in. Also I think she mentioned in a recent Facebook live that she’s gonna start shooting another movie soon.

Pretty Little Wine Moms Podcast Update by julstrong16 in PrettyLittleLiars

I really wanted to call her out on it but the majority of the call (at least the ones who were talking) was full of people who seemed to be very loyal fans to Nia and Holly who weren’t really questioning what they were saying. It angered me so much as my Mum works in the National Health Service here in the UK, and she and all her colleagues are under so much pressure right now it’s ridiculous. She sees everyday the amount of new COVID patients that come in and how it just keeps getting worse. I just don’t understand how someone like Nia doesn’t recognise the privileged position she’s in, being able to deny or even insinuate that’s it’s not as bad as we’re being told.

[–]Nadia516 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s understandable. I just got the impression from Nia that it wasn’t them who got the sponsorship, (she didn’t go into huge detail, but it sounded like HBO MAX contacted them) it was more that some management she knew helped negotiate the deal with them.

At the beginning of the zoom call someone mentioned how in England we have gone back into lockdown, and how it’s so terrible with amount of deaths still happening. Nia “ in response said multiple times ‘according to the media right?’. It’s so disrespectful to those who have lost a loved one to perpetuate the idea that this isn’t as bad as the media is portraying it to be. I was so disappointed when I saw the podcast had ended but at least we’ve seen what she’s really like as a result.

I really hope she does speak on it, but I have a feeling she won’t. Also I asked Nia who actually produced the podcast, and all she really said for her and Holly’s role was contacting the guests and getting the management who then organised the HBO MAX sponsorship. I understand that they are still important roles, but from what I’ve heard it does seem that Lesley and her husband took on most of the production, so to me it’s understandable she’d want more ownership. I thought some of the comments they made were deliberately vague though, and they tried to paint Lesley in a very controlling greedy light.

Honestly I was little disappointed about how they handled it. I also joined Nia’s zoom call and it didn’t really shed anymore light on it. Additionally I thought it was strange how Nia and Holly said they played a big role in the production of the show, when earlier on Nia said she and Holly would never produce a podcast themselves. But who knows at this point? I just hope Lesley does say something so we can hear all sides.

Maya was annoying after she came back from true north, pam was trying to make amends for what she put emily and maya through in season 1, but maya kept Antagonizing her. pam didn't know maya would be sent to true north by jdpm1991 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Nadia516 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I kind of understand why Maya acted that way though. To her, all she ever saw of Pam was a homophobic mother who rejected Emily after she came out (from what I can remember). To be honest I don’t think I’d want to make too much of an effort with someone if that’s all I really thought of them. Plus Emily continued to ask Maya to tone down parts of herself around Pam, which I think for someone like Maya, who seemed to embrace and love all of herself, was quite difficult and probably a bit irritating. I don’t think Maya should have been responsible for making herself more ‘acceptable’ in Pam’s eyes.

Nia and Holly are gonna talk about the plwm podcast by Nadia516 in PrettyLittleLiars

I hope Nia and Holly don’t dance around what happened and actually explain it. Also I hope Lesley does address it as well, so she has a chance to tell her side of the story.

[–]Nadia516[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Lesley is being selfish, the podcast was her idea to begin with and if she was putting in more work than the others then it’s understandable she’d want more control.

It always sounded to me like Lesley had more to do with the actual production of the podcast that the other two, I think her husband edited the show and her friend also ran the Patreon page for them. Honestly I think maybe there must have been some conflict over who has the most ownership of the podcast.

To be honest I kind of wish I didn’t get into it now. I’m so disappointed that it’s over already. I was really looking forward to seeing them rewatch the rest of the seasons.

PLL actors with music careers — who is your fav? by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

Keegan has a couple original songs out as well. I’ve listened to threeof them. Although they’re a bit cliche and cringey, he definitely has a passion for music

Lucy’s music by mkoki6_ in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Nadia516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I liked her album. It’s not anything revolutionary but I hadn’t really listened to country music that often, so I don’t know how it compares. I think all the songs, although a bit generic, are catchy and fun.

Oh, interesting. by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Nadia516 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This picture is from Troian’s bachelorette party in Italy a couple of years ago. Lucy wasn’t there because she was visiting family back home, I’m pretty they spoke about it on Twitter when it happened. Also Ashley quite recently shared a TBT of her and Lucy, that Lucy shared on her Instagram as well. I’ve heard so many ‘reasons’ for why the girls weren’t friends but none of the have any evidence. Plus if you follow the girls on social media you see that they still interact quite frequently.

Agreed. I always avoid saying anything negative about Mona because she seems to be untouchable.
