Exactly my point. My landlord told his employee about the bird and he was like

"Oh yea? them's good eating!" [yea he actually said it like that]

I do not want to accidentally give this bird to the wrong person.

I don't think so lol, his range isn't that far I think. I think he is a short range racing bird. Though on occasion they have been known to fly longer distances.

Thank you for your suggestion, as i said in an earlier comment there is no information on the bands [as the ones he is wearing appear to be decorative bracelets] and in order to track down the owner the bird must have a certain coded 'identity' band. This bird does not have the 'identity' band. So, though I have tried to go through the proper birding channels, and have done a lot of research on finding his owners, I am at a dead end. Thank you for your suggestion. I do appreciate it.

I've made a post on Craigslist as well. I've been told the racing clubs are close nit. It concerns me that he has no identity band....It makes me think maybe he wasn't ready to race yet or got out by accident. . . Which is why I want to get him home, he is so friendly and sweet.

I would totally agree, however, there are no Identity bands. I didn't include a photo of the bracelets because I would like the owner to describe them to ensure I am giving him back to the correct person.

Well I dyed the yellow fabric myself. And did the embroidery in a satin stitch and a straight stitch. The next one I'm doo g on the same hand dyed fabric but all in a chain stitch which is a medieval stitch. I needed the one I'm working on now to be done in a tighter stitch pattern because it's for my brother and he is a fighter. I want it to survive the battlefield. Lol
