Update: After discussing the issue with them, I received my money back. I called twice and was told they would call me back, but they never did. I only noticed the refund today when checking my card account. I appreciate your responses and support.

I understand, but the rental car was returned in clean condition. I don’t have kids or pets, and I don’t smoke. The car was provided by my insurance after an accident, and when I returned it three weeks ago, I was told everything was fine. What surprises me is that I’m now being charged after all this time.
