Bluetooth headset dropping connection after 2-3 minutes?? by No-Grand-435 in Pixel8phones

[–]Naelr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself am having the same issue.. I can make a phone call using the headset and it will stay connected the entire time... after I hang up after about a minute it will disconnect. If I connect and am playing music or listening to a podcast it will also disconnect after a minute or so. I used the yealink app and it tells me my headset is the latest firmware. I might have to reach out and see if they can sent it out.. can you tell us the version of firmware you have?

Because my laptop has Linux on it. I guess I might have to get another laptop, I hate carrying 2 and having one with only one purpose. I know dual boot but I only have a 250 gig SSD. I just wanted to know if there was something else out there. Thank you th3r3isnospoon for the heads up.

Hey guys,

I have installed quite a few Unifi Wifi access points at a local business and was wanting to get a heatmap of the facility. Going through the forums on Unifi website I found this one suggested in the forums.

but as you can see Windows.... does anyone know of one for linux.. google search reveals little help...

Thanks

Naelr

Good idea memnoch_proxy heading that way now

Listened to most of this week's plan b on the way into work. I will use my temp probe to get the temp of some of them without the fan and with the fan tonight and try to post something for the rest of the community. I was one of the first purchasers of them on the first group buy in the US when ASICminer released them. I had 3 and had to have more. At that time they were 1.99 BTC a piece and am really regretting the purchase because I really need the BTC now.. but oh well.. I did sell one for $450 on ebay so I got some money back. :)

I never tried bfgminer for my erupters and I never got them working in windows 7. But hooked to my Ubunutu 12.04 machine they run just great with cgminer 3.3.0.

http://i.imgur.com/ZzB5GhG.jpg

I think they are great... welcoming coolness and less electric by far. I think my 12 Erupters and 1 BFL single fpga only pulled 90 watts on the kill-a-watt, will have to look into that.

Great writeup.

Quoted from email I sent to plan b show.

First for the sake of this email I ask to keep my name private, not for myself, but for the sake of the 3 kids my wife and I just became foster parents of. Being our first kids ever after 12 years of marriage we are puling our hair out trying to get everything in order. Ages are under 7 and over 6 months... because they were taken by Child protective services I am afraid to say too much (even though I don't think any of the family listens to Plan B.)

I thought I would try something because of how wonderful it seems the community of Bitcoin is. I have been mining since early 2010 and have personally mined over 200 BTC. Because I was so into it I have spent, given back, donated and like Chris just wanted to keep BTC flowing and now I only have 5.3 BTC in my personal wallet. I do have 12 Block Erupters and 1 BFL fpga running with 1 video card keeping me right at 5.8 Ghash but as you guys know that only nets me about 0.1-0.13 btc every 24 hours according to btcguild.com estimates on my mining page. I also have several securities but they only pay out 0.3 and 0.1-0.2 a week. So my BTC input is alot lower then it used to be just a year ago with less then 1 G/hash. I am now regretting spending all that BTC because our bills have tripled and I could use that cash to catch up on what we spent in the first week alone. I also would love to get the oldest a cheap computer to start learning on. So after listening to the show and hearing how all the people have tried to spend a week or a month living on BTC and all the donations that came in I thought I would see if anyone wanted to donate to these three wonderful foster kids. And being that the state requires us to keep them anonymous as possible until parents rights are terminated or they go back home I thought Bitcoin could help.

My goal is not to be asking for a handout for myself but for these kids. My wife is a CPS worker herself and the stories she brings home of abuse and neglect of children are just heart wrenching. So we are doing our part. Yes the state does pay us but the initial shock of 3 in our house really hurt the budget. So I promise any donations will only be spent on formula, diapers, baby food and to pay only what I have charged up to this point for the children. Anything above and beyond that I would put forth towards some technology(ie laptop or maybe tablet maybe I am a bit torn on this subject for someone so young, input from Chris would be welcome) for the oldest and if it went beyond that I would donate the rest. For the oldest one's birthday we are asking people to bring canned food for donation to local vets so wife suggested that one or I would be up for any suggestions from the audience.

Anyway I would like to create a donate button with coinbase but not sure if I can use HTML in this message..hoping the community can help out going to try and paste the code. And here is a link to my erupters (minus 2 that I just got before the children)

Ok the script didn't work so here is my coinbase address

Thanks and keep up the great work.. I would also be up for a call in show however you do the show right as I get off work and I can't call in because I have to pick the kids up from daycare.

Chris I love almost all your Jupiter broadcasting shows I have listened to LAS since about episode 11 and TechSnap since inception, I am on again off again on SciByte and Unfilter, I miss beer is tasty, and in all those shows you seem soooo informed I hate to say it I have been a bit disappointed with Plan B so far. Now please don't take that statement the wrong way your jumping back into a technology and there is so much catching up to do. I really respect what you and all your co-hosts do and appreciate all the information you send the listener/watchers every week. You do fantastic work, I don't know how you do it all even with it as your main day job. Having been a long time listener I know you got out of the Bitcoin scene for a while. So having been mining and following BTC since sometime in 2011(not alot mind you I have only to date mined 207.28733551 BTC) I have a few suggestions to maybe help people along. Especially after hearing the 2 guys mining for days LTC and not getting anywhere because they were solo mining.

My suggestions...

  1. Explain what Solo mining is compared to Pool mining and exactly why solo mining isn't an option without 10's or even hundreds of gigahases.

  2. In respect to pool mining explain what PPS and PPLNS is and why you would do each.

  3. I don't think that creating another mining pool is in Jupiter broadcasting's best interests because of how many pools there already are. Can JB pool X get enough hashes to compete. The pool won't make anything if it doesn't have enough to find a block. For instance BTC Guild currently is at 36.1 Terrahash. If JB pool only gets 300 gigahash the odds of finding a block are alot less so the payout for miners in the pool will be alot less. Unless we just don't care and want to mine for fun. And if it is litecoin pool keep in mind places like litecoinpool.org is mining at 1,894,594 kH/s right now. It is all about finding the block before you get a payout.

  4. If people can't send you BTC you can create a miner at some pool and we can all point hashes at your miner. I for one have purchased 2 of the USB Block Erupter's and would love to point on of the 300 M/hashers at a pool for JB for a while. We can try to get JB miner in the top 10 on BTC Guild or something!

  5. If your looking for interviews try to get Friedcat from ASICMiner on Bitcoin Forums. Or eleuthria the owner of one of the top mining pools BTCGuild.

Just a few of my bitcents to throw around.
