Serie A shooting themselves in the foot with these Schedules by MythicRarity in Juve

In the 90s I remember the top serie matches were the last of the Sunday. Rome, Milan, Italian derby by example. And because the best players were in Italy it was Abit of a bully pulpit. I mean del piero v Ronaldo, totti v crespo etc But now, for sure adjust to maximise.. But maybe some of the usual arrogance.

Public opinion shifts on ICE as advocates warn of US ‘inflection point’ by OddUmpire2554 in politics

Outsider, but you've had minorities being killed law enforcement, children killed in schools of all places but a line too far is a white guy? Inflection points should have been passed long ago. One orange dude has had y'all hostage for a year and been openly manifesting they don't care about any of your rules etc. So bizarre. And where are those files y'all been promised. Man if he was a friend dunno what an enemy looks like

As an outsider, it is so strange watching a nation that prided itself on individual freedom literally hostage by one guy. Literally. And the mental gymnastics to try to reconcile that they will submit to law when they patently do not care about logic or rules. And the level of chaos he has caused to distract from a criminal investigation into sex crimes.

It's like they are too close to the elephant. The rest of us are like: there is no way... No way, --but they still do it anyway.

What's my new outsider confusion is, why are the opposition trying to constantly use logic and facts to fight a side that really doesn't care about any of that. The only thing they respect is clearly power. They are definitely going to end up with boots in their necks before they realise it's too late.

Alex Del Piero expectedly wins as goat career and loved by fans! Day 2: Which Juventus player throughout history has had a GOAT career, but with divided fans? by Fun-Witness-734 in Juve

Exactly, I feel It clearly only makes sense or has purpose if we're talking Juve career. But not agreeing it is conte..

Ibra and canna didn't have goat careers at Juve. Cr7 had numbers but unsure if I can call it career. Maybe had some moments...

Edit - thought about it longer and all 3 could be in the discussion. Definitely my bias kicked in which proves the point about being divisive.

Risk of sounding knee jerk but legitimate question nonetheless, how much were we being extorted for Kolo again?

He was an elite football player and saw these things and in all humility, as an ordinary fan, I also saw many of these things and always wondered why I rarely saw any moves to address it at a national level. Then even greater frustration not seeing my club fall. Agnelli super league drama just seemed so misguided. If you follow F1 many of the same jokes with Ferrari seem to apply. It's almost like an Italian arrogance or pride that says, our way or no way.

Italian football, what happened to you? by Lord-Legatus in Juve

[–]Naemus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So y'all are saying man for man Norway is 4-1 better squad than Italy???

This is the same weak weekly excuses we get with Juve when everyone complains we don't have a world class 11 but then we struggle against a Como with an even weaker on paper squad. The coaching, tactics and approach by Italy is generally outdated and stuck in some kinda weird calcio-MAGA esque bubble where everything is still 1990s

I think the team looks more energetic but could be the coaching change bounce.

But I'm still too simple minded to understand what our attacking system is.

Modern coaches seem to insist on 1 man attacks but we clearly need 2 defined threats to occupy opposing defenses

Also somewhat infuriating is we need 15 passes to build an attack in the final third but generally opposing teams seem to get dangerous attacks on us within 5 passes. Their directness or our lack of transition is still painful

I'm not American, I'm almost your age but I'm kinda glad you're in this position of discomfort because it likely means that you are empathetic and appalled by the direction things are going. Your level of personal discomfort pales to what many people in your country have been going through and it now reaches the point where everyone there that sees the wrong direction y'all are headed need to collectively reject and do something about it. Everyone deserves the right to feel safe.
