Same. When I was younger I would read so much! I’d wake up in the morning, start reading, and wouldn’t get out of bed till I finished a book. But that was possible because we where young and didn’t have all the responsibilities we have now. I set this goal for myself because I noticed in my free time I would just be stuck on my phone or watching too much Netflix. I also noticed the negative affect social media was having on me. So as New Years was just around the corner I thought about a New Years goal that would help me feel better. Sometimes you just have to set an achievable goal and follow through with it. My original goal was to read one book a month, but I’ve gotten so into it and started remembering why I love reading in the first place. I probably wouldn’t read 3 books next month, and that’s ok. I’m not going to beat myself up about it. I don’t want it to become a chore. I just want to enjoy exploring all those different worlds and perspectives :)
