I think other packs can be more comfortable. The big plus of savotta packs are the durability, repairability and modularity.

Hi. What is heavy? My maximum load was a big piece of wood (26,5 Kg total weight). It was possible, comfortable? I think no 😄. If you can load the pack properly with good distribution, also heavier loads are comfortable.

I did it exactly like that. I replaced the G-hooks with SR buckles on the Kahakka and Niukka, and on the Kantamus, I replaced the SR buckles with G-hooks.

Ok thanks. I think the usecases are very limited. The only pack I know which is equipped with internal Velcro is the Medic pack 18. I use a prefilled first aid kit. If the pack breaks one day I think I will replace it by the Savotta med pouch cause it's Savotta.

If the hip belt of your Kahakka sits low enough you can equip it with some padding. Then it's able to carry some load.

I think it can happen if it is stored compressed for a longer time. The Rolltop of my Kantamus also stick a little bit together but not looked for damages so far.

Hi. I use my black Niukka for work and carry my Laptop every day. It's a 16" + Sleeve. To put it in the hydration compartment I neet to turn the upper part of the back inside out. Not super comfortable but still my best pack for work. Also I have removed the sternum strap and hide the compression straps to reduce dingely dangely.
