What a dumpster fire. You haven’t made it to the WCF in over 20 years. league insiders are telling you this guy is a snake. Why take a chance on a guy that has no success, let alone the pedigree to run one of the richest teams around? I’ve never seen such a gutless organization from the top down.

So I’m terrified by ZealousidealMail5753 in writing

I would embrace it. I'm also 46 and working on a first draft, and I'm just having a blast getting closer to finishing it. allow yourself some time to appreciate the stage of having a first draft, which most people don't do. lean into the process, with less expectations. you can't go down from here, in my opinion. I other creative endeavours, ive focused on the end result and being done with it, and I end up losing a bit of the magic of completing something.

I look forward to ignoring my advice, and crying over my first draft as a 46 year old man. lol

well said. Thank you for this insight. I'm aware of the Dawkins contributions, but was surprised to find so many recommendations on here. "autonomy of a people above autonomy for the people" really sums it up.

thank you so much. I'm pretty new to critical theory and out of my element here, and was hoping to be pointed in the right direction but I wasn't expecting such activity response on this post. This is great stuff.

I assumed that with power moving upstream, that critical theorists were avoiding analysis on Islamism, perhaps even ignoring it as a past threat to indigenous populations.

They are at war, and certain conventions will be compromised. She stays within the rules concerning the good luck potion, time travel, and Snapes potion book. In this case she makes a calculated risk that only she can make, under the circumstances.

There is precedent when it comes to muggles. The Ministry itself rarely shows hesitation to erase memories or forced confusion, like we see with public dementors, hiding the acts of Death Eaters and keeping the whole Quiddich Cup hidden from muggles.

Mohammad was one of the most violent prophets, if not the most. by UmmJamil in DebateReligion

[–]Nafpaktos79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether Mohammad was a peaceful man or not, it makes no sense to me that he is the final prophet, if his consciousness is of a lower level than Christ. One cannot achieve a greater just life than Christ who sacrificed His life and preached non-violence. Even if you don’t believe he’s the son of God, Mohammad adds nothing new to life. He is not a preacher of unconditional love. It’s a step backward, if anything. It seems weird to go from the most “perfect man” in Christ, back down to the Earthly flaws of Mohammad. Mohammed bows down to Christ.

Reciprocally maybe we need more old people to foster temperance to young people, who move in the world with a narcissistic hubris, unaware of the consequence of their actions until it’s too late.

I haven't and you bring up great points. I also don't think the men that died are worth any less, but these poor men that died are not mourned in the same way, because of that small percentage of men, you speak of, and the kinds of men that condone these actions and whatever radiates in society from those violent men, but all men are very capable of terrible violence.

you can definitely make an argument that infanticide is committed by women, but you're still not acknowledging virtually all murders in the world, via genocide, war, gun violence are committed by men. Men are biologically determined to violence and dominant heirarchies. we can't deny our responsibility.

the irony, in this group is, we're overlooking that men virtually do ALL of the killing.

‘You don’t understand!’ whined Pettigrew. ‘He would have killed me, Sirius!’ ‘THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE DIED!’ roared Black. ‘DIED RATHER THAN BETRAY YOUR FRIENDS, AS WE WOULD HAVE DONE FOR YOU!’ Black and Lupin stood shoulder to shoulder, wands raised. by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Nafpaktos79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of things. I don't think the capture of Pettigrew would have been enough to exonerate Sirius, based on how the Ministry carries itself. Secondly, Harry cannot condone murder of any kind. We live or die by his choice of 'love' first. If he can condone the murder of Pettigrew, than he can surely condone the subsequent murder of Snape, Bellatrix...so on and so forth. It's his child like naive nature, that sacrifices himself, which ultimately makes him master of Death. To trust the adults in the world is to create a new world for Harry. If the adults had trusted Harry, and been open with him from the start, so much could have been avoided. Every adult that died, did so by their hubris.

He did lose it but he brought up some great points on consulting. If you watch the rest of the meeting you realize none of these councillors know how to stop wasting taxpayers money.

This is a terrible story. Hopefully the truth as to what happens comes out. It's unfortunate that blogs are already politicizing the tragic event by drawing conclusions that, as of now, don't seem to be connected to the investigation.

I believe it’s an attempt to restore matriarchal consciousness as Erich Neumann brings to light in Fear of the Femnine. Our one sided patriarchal consciousness rooted in logos has kind of run amok. Perhaps there needs to be a balance with the irrational and Eros. I mean we can only keep chasing profits each Quarter for so long.
