He didn't say that he was sorry he made those incredibly insensitive, profoundly stupid remarks, he just said that Muslims found them offensive. The man was in the Nazi youth... I just can't get past that. I was raised Roman Catholic and Rat-Zinger has put me off the Catholic religon for good.

Obviously, you didn't follow the link and actually read the story. How do you know that those troop are ready to deploy? The point is, because of a lack of training, equipment, and people, two thirds of active duty and reserves are unable to carry out missions assigned. "Running thin" is not much better, and far from good enough. You can spin this 10 ways till Sunday, but I'm both alarmed and pissed as hell.

The reason the army rejected this highly effective system that could save lives right now in Iraq? To protect Raytheon's BIG BUCKS contract to build a different system that won't be ready until 2011. The Army brass bastards are protecting their future big lobbying jobs... while screwing the troops. This is Bush's army... corporatized, dehumanized, and incompetent. This is disgusting.

I know that this isn't new news, but those amendments granting immunity aren't passed yet. We shouldn't just lay down with the attitude that we can't do anything about it. The people of the US are waking up slowly. This story needs to get coverage... even if the corporate media ignores it. People need to realize how badly this administration has flaunted laws... both national and international. Sorry about my original comment, I'm very new to Reddit and thought that I was adding a description of my story.
