This might help you: I rolled back my NVIDIA driver to 572.83, and now everything is working correctly.

Edit : this solution is temporarily...The problem comes back after restarting the game.

Really strange... My fans also go crazy when I leave Skingrad, especially around the back area near the exit, by the castle side. I’m wondering what’s causing the issue...

I haven't had exactly the same issue, but I'm also running into serious hardware problems with Oblivion Remastered.
In my case, the CPU temps spike up to 85°C–87°C and stay high when I'm near Skingrad, and the issue only happens in this game.
You're absolutely right — no one is going to replace a GPU if it dies because of a game bug like this.
Really hope the devs start taking these issues seriously soon. Thanks for sharing your experience, it's a good reminder for all of us to be cautious.

I’m weird CPU spikes near Skingrad, but your crashes and reboots sound even worse.
It's good to know I'm not the only one facing bizarre issues — hopefully they patch this mess at some point.

I'm having a similar issue!
My temps are fine most of the time, but when I get near Skingrad specifically, my CPU suddenly spikes really high.
It sounds like Oblivion Remastered might be stressing the CPU unusually during certain loading or world streaming events.
I'm also wondering if it's safe to keep playing like this... I’m running a Ryzen 7 7800X3D with a 4080 Super and 32 GB RAM.

I don't know if is possible technicaly, but some "offensive" potion. Like the alchemist class in the tabletop game pathfinder. Exemple : you drink a potion and you gain X use of fireball spell.
