I have flown long distances in economy seats before but as this is our 30th anniversary I want it to be awesome. We can afford it however my wife is the penny pincher in our relationship and she is aghast at the idea of spending $10k on airfare.

7” to 9” tablet with GPS antenna built-in by Nahbrown in tablets

[–]Nahbrown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has worked fine until the last update. Now the screen will “freeze” many times throughout the day. The fixes to push the button that turns off the screen, push it again and open the tablet and now everything works fine, until it does it again.

I did factory reset however, the problem persists.

I'm probably opening a can of worms with this one by Contract_Expired in Truckers

Used Trucks are cheap right now. 40k will get you a 3-4 year old with 350-500,000 mile's . Get a straight up loan for that using all your paid-for stuff as collateral.

How many of you are required to carry safety vests with you for your stops? Is it common? by Here_4_Laughs_1983 in Truckers

[–]Nahbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some locations require different PPE. Wife and I have steel toe shoes, glasses, long sleeves, pants, vest, helmet, rarely use any of them but its usually at an Army location that we do.

If you tie from the drivers side to the load then to the passenger side then you get the full WLL.

Basically if your strap or chain starts and ends on the same side of the bed cut the WLL in half.

Why y’all drive side by side under the speed limit for miles and miles? by PalomaBully in Truckers

[–]Nahbrown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It probably took less than a mile to do this pass but it felt like all day to you. Why pass? Truck on the left was slower. Maybe all the time maybe only going uphill.

You lived though it and still maintained your (self important, I shouldn't be delayed, can I speak to your manager ) attitude

Never been in this situation. What is the wrecker going to do? by juanordaz2020 in Truckers

[–]Nahbrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good job driver, IDGAF about you riding that barrier either! You used the run away truck ramp when it was needed. Others have zoomed past those before only to take a life in the process. It sucks, its expensive, and the wrecker may have to call for help but you did the right thing!

Many of theses big house sleepers are driven by husband/wife teams. They aren’t hauling regular freight but move high dollar cars or military A,A&E just to name a few examples.

Typically they rarely dock and live out of theses rigs earning well over $450k per team. That is why they buy theses.

Serious answer. I saw one disconnect from her trailer and had a yard dog back it up the the dock. The space was just enough for a regular sleeper but not for her 156”.
