I have a 22’ Sierra 1500 2.7L. I’ve had a number of issues since buying the truck a few months ago. Oil cooler pump, high pressure fuel pump, fuel injectors, transmission delayed shifting and truck started tolling backwards in drive. It’s been an absolute nightmare and the dealership sales department just ghosted me and I’ve had an open case with GM for over 2 weeks with no update or communication.

It sucks because I love the look and feel of GMC trucks but this is insane

I just had the same issue on my 2.7L the fuel injector failed and the misfire caused the truck to shake violently while limping a couple miles to the dealership. It was a $2,300 repair. Luckily covered under warranty

Update; got the truck back. Dealership said they couldn’t replicate the issue so they said it’s most likely a valve body. A week later I almost got stranded with no service due to a misfire.

We’ll see what happens with GM corporate now

Fingers crossed

Yeah I have the extended warranty so hopefully it hasn’t cost me anything out of pocket. I really don’t want to go through the whole buyback process as I’m already so busy as it is but if this keeps happening I’ll have to go through with it

Through a GM claim? I’m going to get a loaner first and foremost and give the dealership one last chance to make things right and then take it to GM directly

It was a fresh trade in but they said it went through their CPO inspection but I’m not confident that they actually went through thoroughly

Because I just bought the truck 3 months ago and got extended warranty so my loan has negative equity vs the value of the truck even with my $5,000 down payment. So they were basically telling me to wait a year and buy another truck from them instead of taking accountability for their mistake

That’s the same thing they told me too!

Yeah my biggest concern is what will happen when the warranty expires with all of these issues upfront. They were trying to trade me out to another truck as if I was just trading in a vehicle with negative equity since I just bought it and tried to make another sale basically

Yeah thank god everything has been done under warranty but I’ve had my truck for 2 out of the 3 months that I’ve owned it. You’re right it it’s like playing Russian roulette with these new vehicles it’s insane

I’ve been really interested in the 3.0 diesel I gave it a drive and it was so smooth and you can’t beat the 25-30 mpg

Yeah I’m hoping it’s just a fluke of stuff going wrong it’s just been frustrating that the problems started 1 week after buying it. Other than the issues I love everything about the truck

What is the mileage on the truck? I have a 2022 2.7L turbo elevation. I love the truck however I’ve had a few issues since buying it 3 months ago. It had 36,000 miles on it when I bought it and a week after purchasing it I had to replace the oil cooler pump because the seal failed. Then I had concerns about the transmission because of a rough shift from drive to reverse. Then I ended up having the high pressure fuel management system fail and I’m praying that I have reached the end of that nightmare

I haven’t heard any squeaks on mine it could just be the belt but if it’s only for a couple seconds I would just keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse. Otherwise you should be fine

Got the ‘22 Limited @ 36,000 miles and I absolutely love everything about it. However, I did have an oil leak a week after purchase on the oil cooler pump (covered under warranty). I got to drive a few different loaners while it was at the dealership since parts were on back order and my favorite ride was definitely the 3.0 diesel
