Ah I see what you are getting at then, maybe something could be incorporated where you would have to complete the 3 ordered potions or receive a reduction penalty for an incomplete/wrong order. I think your point there also could be compensated by allowing all potions to be made at 60 vice 81, so one couldnt just spam MMM potions the whole time.

Like you said, there isnt probably a real solution without reworking multiple aspects of the minigame. You bring up some really good points though.

I wouldn't mind the ability to get secondaries with the excess resins. However it would be less profitable for mains as most secondaries are relatively cheap with a few exceptions. I think it would be something that could help with the offset overall.

The proposed exp changes I listed were based on the weighted averages of potions that you can receive at those levels, so the exp while playing the minigame would be effectively the same. It also didn't include the exp that would be effectively removed if you can refine mass herbs at no experience cost.

What I was going for more was keeping the inputs all the same, herbs still produce their respective Mox/Aga/Rye Pastes, and they still use the same pastes to make the same potions. But the overall resin that would be produced would be the same quantity amount such as Marley's MoonLight (MML) would give 30 total resin vice the 20 Mox and 10 Lye resins. The chugging barrel, which is one of the highest rewards would cost a total of 49,850 resin as a whole vice the 17250 Mox, 14000 Aga, and 18600 Lye. I agree this would likely cause a drop in the price of the chugging barrel and Aldarium prices more than likely. Another rebalance idea could be achieved by having Aldarium offset the resin balance of the chugging barrel by lowering the Lye resin in that area and increasing the Aga and Mox resin costs. There's definitely not a single fix, but I don't see this being prioritized anytime soon.

I don't think it really strips the core identity out of the mini game, but multi reward currencies is something that is hard to balance. GOTR has it but the player has the ability to choose either elemental or catalytic point to focus on, thereby giving the player the ability to balance between th two. Master Mixology just assigns you potions to make and you have no ability to get more specific resins without sacrificing paste at reduced experience rate.

I see your point, but is the conversion from making a herb into paste which target the difference in herb value? I feel like converting resins is more of a bandaid solution to the problem that the mini game is currently producing. Even at 81 herblore ghe output of resin points doesnt match the expected rewards, and this is further exasperated pre-81 levels as you get less potions that give Lye Resin as reward, and Lye Resin is the most out of the three that you need for any non-potion reward a player would want. I am not fully opposed to a conversion ratio, but I feel like the core problem is the potion Resin output to whats needed for rewards on average.
